I think my family gave up and just laugh at me (in a friendly way). They know I'm weird and they say i have terrible taste. Not because of the asian stuff, but 'cause I watch mexican soap operas. Last month I told that I saw an Israel series and they "how do you find...?????" Years ago I watched an Angola soap opera. And they don't forget hahahaha until this day.
My dad didn't want me to see Asian dramas, but that never stopped me. That was years ago. Now he ignores doesn't mind 'cause my family don't want me to be sad or stressed.
From Asia I watch K, J, C, Taiwan and Thai. I watched Amos series (Philippines). I need to go back to Folklore hbo series. In the future I want to see an Indian series. But, so many interesting things to see and books to read so little time.
It's fun watching series outside US/UK the norm . To know different cultures.

To film lovers yes Palme d’Or is the most important. For general public who doesn’t pay much attention Oscar is the first award show.
Roma was reject at Cannes for petty motives. Cannes is just a pretentious show. I love Koreeda’s movies. I’ll be happy if Shoplifters win. But, it has biggest chances to lose to Roma.
Either way I’m fine, but a part of me is rooting for mi hermanos mexicanos.

Never thought on watching historical thai lakorns. I don't know where to look eng subbed . I watch/ follow dramas on youtube. My country's Netflix doesn't have many, it has like 4. I loved the ones I saw there.

This is an insanely good series. It is going to be one my favorite. I’m glad Netflix bought it. It’s crazy addicting
