There are several stories of emancipated girls/women in this film. Stereotype of Japanese marriage and the hardships it brings, or rather what is expected of the wife in the household. This is also one of the reasons for the steep population decline in many countries now. It's good that films are being made about important topics like this one.
Great civil movie in my opinium. Sentimental living life is disturbed by idealistic love story line. Very heartful. I was waiting for what disaster will come. Nohing cliche this time. Pretty clever gamechanger point....and the rest is a life.
This was so warmhearting movie that took me back to Okinawa for a moment again. The hardships and sorrows of the inhabitants of this paradise area from the perspective of a teenager who just fighting to family happiness and love.
Oh...It was such a heart-warm movie. It was a pleasure to see and live the Japanese countryside from the perspective of a teenage girl. I would like to spend one summer with all of them there.
