There really was a reason I never watched this drama! like I tried to skip sad, frustrating parts but still towards the end, wow just wow, how could they write a FL with this character and make me feel this way? It is really fitting of the old-style k-drama but doesn't so right. FL and ML just had me all over the place. It really is a toxic drama that is good. Watching this makes you question if you are a masochist. Just wow wow wow! Hope everyone enjoyed it. It. really is reminiscent of the old melodrama style with some makjang in it. Like the other reviewers, be ready for a lot of emotions and questioning your own sanity as you watch. Absolutely phenomenal acting by FL and ML. HJE best partner is Ji Sung and like the person said below she really is good at this type of melodrama. I would like to see her in something like this again, the other drama she did with Ji Sung, or something on the serious side. Love her in romance, and this was really good
So the first few episodes have been very cringe for me and hard towa tch on the part that I legit just could care less for this Fl. I don't know if it is the character or the actress is just playing her too well, but like fam, you can be sassy and know when to have awareness, especially with all that you have been through. Her behaviour is causing unnecessary problems to the mainlead, In the end, he's still a Jin Yiwei Guard, His power is limited to go against the noble families who might act on him because of the princess out of revenge, blackmail or jealousy and fear ***************** I am legit watching for the ML at this point and the romance, I mean her character isn't terrible and it is great to be bold and stick to how you are , but like............ know when to act

I watch j-dramas from time to time and have seen some of these character traits and am also aware of the situation in Japan and how it relates to the rest of the world. Thank you for giving more information on the topic cause sometimes these traits really annoy and frustrate me. Not that I expect every FL to be empowered, but some of the characteristics writers put really make you question what is happening in Japan and the rest of the world and their thinking. Either way, great article! Loved it
