I read somewhere that small amount of different types of poisons are given to the person in order to increase their tolerance level in the body.

yes she seemed close to him. i think her mother felt guilty of something. annie knew he wasn't her real dad. coz that phone call before accident was also suspicious, "you don't know why your dad (maybe her real dad) sent you to me?"
