I also come from a culture where no matter what your parents do, you must respect them. Even if they wronged you so badly, you can get help from elders in the extended family. It doesn't matter if couples get divorced later on. That is wrong if your mom hurts others because of you in the name of love. If you were an orphan, wouldn't you leave your life as you deemed fit? You will make your mistakes and learn from them. That is part of growing up. YC's mom wants him as a puppet that she can control because of her selfish ambition. Unfortunately, YC is too nice to ignore her as his mom. Sometimes, being soft-hearted is a terrible crime, especially in this situation. In reality, if I were in his shoes and my mom did terrible things to people because of me, I would tell all her extended family members what she was doing behind closed doors and beg them to talk to her. Call me crazy. You can't say you love me and then make me cry. Not in this lifetime. The people she's hurting are someone else's kids, too.

Her being his mom doesn't give her the authority to hurt others and say she was doing it for his good. Filial piety be damned in this situation. She's a horrible person and a despicable mom, period😠😠😠

Unfortunately, she doesn't realize how much she's hurting her son. He got hurt the first time because of a feud between her and XZ. He was injured the second time in Germany because of the same rivalry. Now, he is hurt again because the person who was instigated to cause trouble for his girlfriend wouldn't let it go. It is so sad for him because she is his mom, and he can do nothing about it.
