Agreed! Anyone who punches a disabled person is the worst kind of filth there is. I disliked him quite a bit before, but with this he just killed any remaining shreds of sympathy I had left for him. He doesn't even have any right to be angry, he himself was sniffing around Megumi while she was still together with Takuto. Even if Takuto hadn't broken up with her, Shige still wouldn't have hesitated going after her, so he has no right whatsoever to be angry at Takuto, no matter how upset he is over losing Megumi. And I hated the way he talked about Takuto when Megumi broke up with him, like Takuto was just a temporary inconvenience, "how long is he going to live, anyway?". What kind of sick thing is that to say?! Bastard. Hope he winds up alone and miserable for the rest of his life.

Oh my, painful episode as always. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Takuto's father this time. He seemed to understand Takuto's wish to take care of things himself as much as possible, and I was so happy when he offered Takuto some words of comfort. The mother seems as clueless as ever, though. She really made me mad when they discussed school with Rikuto. She wasn't listening at all, and when Rikuto said he didn't want to be a doctor her immediate reaction was to blame Takuto. I wish this woman would wake up and smell the coffee already.

That scene with Takuto and Shigeyuki made so freaking mad. He hasn't seen Takuto for all this time, and now he meets with him just to tell Takuto he's engaged to Megumi? That's just so insensitive. The guy is already suffering, must Shigeyuki rub it in his face that he's marrying the girl Takuto is in love with? They were friends, and Takuto looked up to him, but he doesn't even seem that upset at what's happened to Takuto. He hasn't even stayed in contact with him. That's not my idea of a good friend. Unlike Mamoru. Now that's a good friend.

My heart breaks into a million pieces every time he smiles but you can still see the pain in his eyes.

Oh my poor heart! It's only episode 3 and I'm already an emotional wreck. Haruma sure is doing some of his best acting ever, here.

Takuto's family is pissing me off big time! Especially his brother.

This drama was really incredibly campy. But I love camp, so I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved this drama! I wish there would be a second season.

I think the plot summary is slightly misleading. From reading it, I expected the movie to be thick with angst, but I was surprised that in spite of the sad themes, most of the story was strangely lighthearted. All those "misunderstandings" the summary talks about were quickly cleared up. For me, the movie was more about enjoying life than being pained by it.

Very nice. Being Swedish, it was pretty hilarious for me to watch a Jdrama with an ABBA soundtrack.
