Pisaeng says he loves Kawi because he is Na Rak (cute). I think Pisaeng falls in love during the episode where they run from the gang. In that episode, Kawi thought he was in a dream and behaves as his true self with Pisaeng. When running from the gang, Kawi & Pisaeng shared an emotional and physical bond (holding hands), which Pisaeng probably never experienced before since he has been deep in the closet.
When does Kawi fall in love? I'm not sure, but even in Ep1, he says Pisaeng is Lor (handsome) and Kawi may have already been physically attracted to him. Maybe he falls in love with Pisaeng during the run from the gang as well. You can see the big smile on their faces as they were running. Or perhaps he falls in love slowly, when Pisaeng is always there for him in all the timelines.
Myself? I fell in love with someone simply because they put their hand on my shoulder. It was really strange, I was friends with them for months and felt nothing. We would have lunch together every day and spend time working together but I felt nothing more than friends. But then one evening, after a dinner, my friend puts their hand around my shoulder as we walk to the car. And since then, I've not spent a day without thinking of them. I was thinking about this bittersweet ending and how it would work. But I realized that in Ep11 (including the montage), they are not yet living their BEST life. Kawi getting sick in Ep11 enables Pisaeng to go back in time and talk to Kawi about it. Knowing they have limited time, they cast all fear aside (like at the theme-park, when Kawi initially doesn't want to ride the roller coaster) and REALLY live their BEST life.
Then in the future, Kawi still gets sick, but pulls through because of his love with Pisaeng! (Maybe he dies alone in the original timeline-who knows?!) That's my happy ending :)

Just watch the final episode! I'm sure we won't be disappointed. Maybe the glimpse of the future is important to remind Pisaeng/Kawi what is important in life and how they have to treasure every moment because good times don't last forever.
