After two episodes I have decided to give Miss Hammurabi away. I can see what the writers are trying to do, but…
I feel you. It feels like - a lot of things are going on at the same time but they do not feel very connected. Like you said different dramas at the same time. However the looks nice.
You should check out Rookie Agent Rouge. If you haven't. It is also based on sino-japanese war. Best thing is all the characters specially the ladies are have very strong and resolute characters.
I am wondering whether to start this one or not. I have not watched the Japanese version so I am not sure about anything. And I am so done with cliche and typical romcoms. I want to ask should I watch it? How is it going?
The synopsis doesn't stands out, it looks like 'just another drama'. But not judging a book by its cover, I will definitely watch this, also because HJE and NGM are here!
Im the complete opposite, I love her. Idk why she gets a lot of hate lol.
True! I really like her and she was phenomenal in Secret. She can pull of all kinds of role. But then again I know she she should never shout (never ever!) I have always loved her but when she shouts for a scene it feels like my ears are going to fall apart. The directors and writers should not make her. (;
Although I am letting my imagination run wild but may be that is the reason Judge Cha Moon Sook is so nice to Jae Yi and helps her. Even wants Jae Yi to call her 'mom'. May be Jae Yi and her family have known her for a long time and when Jae Yi's mom helped Sang Pil and died that night, it was indirectly because of Cha Moon Suk , so may be it's her guilt towards her or she could have an ulterior motive.
I still cant wrap my head around how Jang Hyuk is a second lead. Do established stars like him play 2nd lead often?
I think it depends on the role. There are dramas where second leads are kind of just play a part in the lead couple's life. The second lead character here I think has a strong role. It doesn't even feel like he is the second lead, it doesn't matter. Such dramas where all the main characters (including 2nd leads) are strong are like good opportunities even for established actors. They might don't mind playing them if the character is worth and they like it.
I think I finally understand how Jae Yi's mom got missing. She was the one (her mom) who helped kid Sang Pil in running away from the bad guys that time when their car crashed. She died that night helping Sang Pil. They never got any news about her because they covered it up. That is why the death anniversaries of both of their moms are on the same day. I also feel that Sang Pil has idea who Jae Yi is. The way he looks at her sometimes and that night of death anniversary when he visited Jae Yi's fathers photo studio made it more clear. He knows she is her daughter.
The ML is the same guy from my ahjussi !!! He scares the life out of me whenever he shows up there , He needs…
I haven't watched My Ajhussi yet but he was in Go Back Couple too and gave me SLS. He was wonderful. Don't worry if he can pull two entirely different kinds of roles then he would do a pretty agreeable job here! (;
Love the drama..I hate people who give this drama a bad reviews..well if you hate it yoi should have dropped it…
I am not being rude, but different people have different opinions. Its good that you liked it but this may not be the case with others. Or whether one drops a drama or not it also depends on many factors like may be it was not that bad for them to drop, may be they were curious how it will end, may they continued for their favorite actors/ actresses etc. etc. So don't hate (:
I saw comments about PMY's plastic surgery. Whether it's true or not, she is a talented actress. She acts so well. I have heard many undergoing plastic surgery but if they are a talent, for me PS doesn't matter although I don't support it. I think plastic surgery is indeed one's personal choice but the society we live in is also responsible for that. S.Korea has well defined beauty standards (many other places have) which clearly and strictly differentiates between a beautiful and 'not beautiful person' let alone the tv-film and music industry. It requires a person to be of a face and body which fits in people's idea of 'pretty'. Things really need to change. People should appreciate the real meaning of beauty i.e. the unique beauty every person comes with. Everything natural. And this will happen when we will truly accept our natural selves. :)
I wonder if ep 3 and 4 are subbed... The drama has a 'natural and common' kind of feeling to it. The beauty of the drama lies in its simplicity. 2 episodes and they already like each other! (Most importantly that didn't feel rushed) It will be amusing to see what happens in the next 14 episodes and how the drama maintains its beauty and keeps the viewers intrigued.
