I don't know how to rate acting that well, but what you said about his reactions seem right. I think he did a great job in island, and his romcoms are always cast as a stiff person. I want to watch everything he is in cuz he looks so good. And I think he'll do better if they give him more room. And cast him as a sad person or a happy person. Being a stiff person makes him look too stiff. Like typical cold manga characters.
Then you can decide.
