Well I have read many comments here and there... basically the competition is over (thank GOD) and based on what a member told me, they went all out with racist comments hahaha... based on Rita's review of the episode it had good character development, the King is finally growing up and showing it. Im waiting for episode 16 to resume with it. I wont drop it... too much time and mind spent on it ^^

my 82 is my age as well :p
So there you go. No wonder, we both agree to not agree to disagree. Some say age has nothing to do with how you view the world, but I say it plays some role in it ^^

"If I can come to an agreement on how much we differ but still have a little bit of truth on both our opinions, then that is great." I meant that we can at the end of an argument understand each other's view points and respect it wholeheartedly, but still feel different about it, however, we would have then be on another level of agreement or disagreement from which we were at the beginning of the argument. A perfect example: what just happened with King2Hearts, I agree with you, but still feel differently about the drama bringing in that particular, and at times "annoying" cliche.

Otherwise, we will continue to argue for ever! :D But sometimes it is even better, when I can say to you, after ranting and being hurt by King2Hearts. That I agree with what you said about the drama, and I love that it touches all sorts of cliches in a comical way... will they try to save the American cliche that they are enemies? I wonder... they have saved every other, especially the North Korean one.
Perhaps their kids would go to Harvard despite Americans being rude, and then, that will be another cliche, but it will mean they still see something good out of it LOL.

As I often say, "lets agree to disagree" is an overstatement. From the moment we express our opinions, we are looking for two things. One, to find someone who agrees with us, and Two: to find someone who disagrees with us because if we all agreed on everything it would be a very plain/boring/dull world.
That said, the moment we open our mouths to say something we know someone will disagree, and therefore, we are agreeing that we dont agree from the very start. Hence the overstatement at the end of an argument "lets agree to disagree" why not say better, you dont wish to keep arguing since we will never come to an agreement. I dont argue to finally come to an agreement, I argue to state my case, as unbiased as I can. If I can come to an agreement on how much we differ but still have a little bit of truth on both our opinions, then that is great.

True... hence why I gave Padam, Padam a 10 which otherwise would've been a 9. I think the drama is excellent, but it was not a 10 in my heart, only in mind. My heart went completely to Ending Planner.
Secret Garden which you love, in the other hand, I did not like more than Sam Soon. In terms of quality, yeah SG had a better production overall, but I hated that she was tough at the beginning (in appearance) and then turned into this naive little thing (from episode 2 on)whom Hyun Bin followed around with no real purpose but that he was smitten with her. Which, of course, later turned into love. I wonder if the switching bodies had any real substance. I know it was important in terms of who they were to each other, but if their bodies wouldn't switch, they both would have come together just the same. That was my worry with the drama, other than that I liked it.

TRP? which is that one haha... and I agree, some cliches can be annoying in a drama but we might like it or not mind it in another one.
When the drama has awesome actors, and the characters speak to you, no matter what type of plot, if its stupid, full of cliches or not, you will like the story. I cant wait for episode 16 of King your hearts!!! lol... despite my little disagreement with it, Im loving the characters, and the seriousness of the plot while still throwing some comedy in there... one of my favorite parts was when she said Sount Korean's are so into appearances and looking good, that they have amazing face creams and such stuff. Haha. That was a low blow.

The acting has to be horrendous, and the story has to be all over the place for me to drop a drama... also, I have to feel some sort of personal detachment from the characters to drop. Or if I come to strongly dislike the plot in terms of how they went about it, example 49 Days although I did not drop it... and so on. But this is the reason why when someone goes to my page and sees I love LBH, to later find I gave IRIS an 8, leave with a big question mark on their head, Ooor... lol, they think /me is crazy :p

With Ending Planner, I expected less than what I got. Because I was expecting the usual Japanese cliches they love throwing into their stories. It had it, but the story was so beautiful and full of hope and love, I thought it was wonderful. With the drama With Love, which is one of my favorites drama, you can see it on my list of favorites. I knew there would be the typical cliche of ill-fated love and almost possible encounters, but the actors, the characters, and most importantly the music made me fall in love with such a beautiful story. So you see, I completely understand you, I will start it, and see where it takes me from there :)

Haha. Here is what happens, and I think you will agree with me on this because you have said so before yourlsef. To be able to like a drama, whether its a stupid one or not, it has to come to you at the right time. To me, "the right time" has a lot to do with your emotional place, and your mind atm. Like with King 2 Hearts, I was LOVING IT, until they threw that cliche of America (US) being the bad guy, which happens in all movies outside of America, so it has become some sort of cliche for me... when I think a drama is amazing, I expect nothing less and when that happens Im disappointed. MGIAG is the kind of drama to start because you are bored, have nothing else to do, and dont care about all the cliches that will come. SO, baring this in mind, you will come to like it and enjoy every episode because its not a big deal.
