Sorry Im getting in the conversation (im a friend of sleepy) but Time Between Dog and Wolf is my number one drama ever so I was to excited to see the picture in her profile. If you are a Junki fan, its a must watch for you^^ ... and yeah, sleepy is right, its from the drama ;)

Sleepy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont tell me you are watching Time Between Dog and Wolf!! My most favorite drama EVER!! that picture in your avi is Junki during his training agent on the drama hahaha. I know it too well. :p

There is a Japanese drama that is very mature, and sad. But at the same time it is a wonderful story of forgiveness and endurance. Soredemo, Ikite Yuku. The drama is about two people that meet years after a tragedy that happened and affected both their families, and how they learn to cope with it admits their obvious resentment for each other. Its a lovely drama.
I also like all kinds of dramas, but my favorite is suspense. If its about crime, or it has that kind of psychological plot I love it. One like that is Koori no Sekai, one of my most favorite Japanese drama haha, it also has one actor I love ^^ Takenouchi Yutaka. The drama is a bit old, but is great. Takenouchi is the actor of With Love, the drama I recommended last time :)

And about Hidetoshi, boy I love him too, he is so cute I call him candy boy haha. I know Japanese crime dramas rarely have love developed in the plot, but I hope for him and the "hime" to like each other. I have seen the movie, but Im guessing the cop that died was perhaps involved with her at some point? She is always remembering him -_- Hidetoshi! Hidetoshi! I cheer for him always haha.

Strawberry Nights gets better with each episode. I was really hooked with episode 2 and 3, I have yet to watch 4 and 5. But Im loving it :)

Historical Japanese, hmmm, not really since I havent watched any that I like. I only watched Tempest, and I didnt really like it that much but you might like it, if you want to give it a try. It has cross dressing elements. But if you want to give any other a try, then I highly recommend Good Luck!! or With Love. Both are my favorite Japanese dramas and both are about love, although Good Luck!! has more comedy and its also about not giving up on your dreams... awesome drama. What is your favorite type of drama?

I do like historical Chinese dramas/movies, because of the immense historical trajectory that it has, there is just too much to learn from, and being that Japanese took from Chinese many things, I think it is one culture to learn about before learning of any other Asian cultures. I also love Japanese culture, but I haven't gotten into their historical dramas fully yet, hehe. I do watch lots of samurai films, and I love the Meiji era in particular. I learned about it from anime, and movies :D
So far, I know about the Qing Dynasty since its what I have watched the most, one was the Hong Kong movie The Warlords, and also in some Taiwanese dramas :) Another movie I think drama fans should watch is The Last Emperor, I really liked the story.
