Loved it. Quirky. Hilarious. It’ll be rewatched . It took a year for the USA to get it. It was worth the wait 😊

To this day I rewatch ep 29 for his brother’s letter scene. His brother gave her every kindness from loving her in his travel book to guarding her. Missed opportunity for both her and the bro. She loved the brother thru his book. The ML wasn’t kind until it was too late.

Feeling a sense accomplishment. Completed the drama without skipping. There has to be season 2 because it ended with a cliffhanger. If it doesn’t, I’m satisfied finally finding out the mystery. Good drama,

On ep 16, the drama is moving quickly for me. Entertained by the cases and her growing relationship with Ye. What’s odd is that before the FL returned to her hometown for her stepmom. Han stopped teasing and following Kang and the FL. All of a sudden, he told Kang that Ke appears to be in love with her. I missed something here. Han and Tumi’s relationship went to zero. Disappointed a bit. Han is now occupied with a girl he captured (Ke’s sis). Oh well. I hope there’s a season 2. The characters are fleshed out. Need action with the ink stone and Ke. It’s a shame the writers didn’t mix the two from the beginning. Season 1 is not complete to be a standalone. What a waste if this is it.

I’m only on ep 7, Han is a pest. Fan Zhi Xin is becoming a favorite. Versatile actor.

I can’t keep up with all the dramas. Feel let down when a good one ends but luckily I downloaded this and liked Fan’s acting as a pest. Turns out to be better than my last costume drama.,The bickering and bromance. I’m on ep 7.

Happy and enjoying this drama. Dramas are coming out faster than I can watch them. Currently watching ep 7. The FL is a super fast thinker/talker that’s it. So far I’m loving the two SML interactions. Fan Zhi Xin’s character Han must be bored in the countryside. From teasing her or his friend. He’s so engaging and goofy. Pestering her, drinking day or night, making trivial bets with the other SML. How was that caveman carry? He’s stealing the show. The other SML Kang is his opposite, but knows what the other is up to. Strong male characters including her father and grandfather. The ML is not present as much as the others. She has three fine men orbiting around her.

I cried when she was unconscious and dreamt meeting the fallen warriors on the ramparts. Uncle Song’s spirit tells her the sun has risen you should go home. She then wakes up. Later when she sees him in fallen warrior position it was incredibly sad. Devoted to her until the end. Their military made the most sacrifices. Wish they were honored more. The ultimate is she will be Empress and will protect them.

The delicate detail on their wedding clothes was beautiful ❤️

Sometimes I mixed up the emperor and the father but their costumes saved me. Standing next to each other they do look alike 🤣

This drama hit the spot. A smart couple trying to outwit each other then gradually joined forces. The finale ended perfectly with a wedding beautifully costumed. Love the goodbyes added by the cast and crew. Also appreciate that the drama was intact no extreme edits for censorship. It was very fluid. Enjoyed your comments. Until next time.
