Really? WoW! Well there are different type of costume drama among which Xianxia, these are drama with god and godesses in them with multiple realm. Usually main characters start the story in the immortal realms then go to earth to to through human tribulations and then go back to the immortal realm at the end. You find her passive? I find her a lot of thing but passive was never one of them, she is actually pretty active! She actually has a work, is trying very hard to change her fate by taking the exam, tried to get rid of our demon lord X times, saved countless of fairies, tried to go back to her home to prove her innocence, she is not acting like a doormat to him even when she discovers who he really is although she is rightfully frightened, she has strong opinions and when impersonating our demon lord she even tried to do whatever was possible to protect her home and people, she came up with a strategy to try and get away definitely from Cangyan Sea, and i could go on like that for a long time. So naive? untried? yes. passive? Nope.
