Its the fault of writers and directors that build endlessly the same type of one dimensional female characters.
YangZi also had to take this kind of roles. She had years without getting anything, and accepted characters she didnt want to portray just to keep existing, just to keep acting.
I remember how ZhaoLusi was thrilled when she received the LLTG script because she was always typecasted for the same role, and for once she was entrusted with something else.
