afaik, gmmtv used to market young audiences for romcom series (Ugly Ducking, U-Prince) then they only produce like 2 or 3 BLs for year not until around 2021 they started producing alot knowing that BL is a popular thing for them. GMMTV was like always diverse (but being known for producing BL series).
