What a Gem. Start with a great story, add professional actors, a good set and production team with good visuals and a nice OST and you get a Gem. This short vertical drama is just that.
I've been surprised at a few of these Vertically filmed drama's. Some are absolutely top notch. With some of the best acting out there WITH outstanding stories and productions. Don't get me wrong, there are ALOT of duds too - poor quality, low acting, B drama's in this area too. But the fun I have found is finding the GEM's. It's like opening a present that you never knew you were going to get.

I refuse to watch any C-Drama, vertically filmed or otherwise on YouTube. That is the WORST platform, terrible sound quality, usually ripped off from other platforms making the quality of video sub par and usually incomplete or daubed over in odd places with weird sounds to get away with copy right infringement just ICK.
However, looking for the titles listed on MDL on paying platforms is next to impossible as the titles do not always match - even across platforms! And actors are NEVER listed and there are never any credits to find who the actors are. Therefore, when TRYING to rate any vertically filmed show ON MDL it is next to impossible. WHY there is NO congruency in Titles of the SAME show across all these apps is baffling, it sure makes things confusing!
The struggle to get the vertically filmed shows and the truly talented actors recognition and more accurate ratings is real.

This was one of the cutest short drama's, I did not expect how good this was. Wow, do not look at that low rating- so under rated. This is a GEM. It is a short drama, so don't go looking for deep, completed plot, but for all that the acting is great, the OST was sweet and the script so cute and fun! Great chemistry and such a sweet ending. Loved this!

Agreed! I dropped it after ep. 21 -Good acting, VERY VERY bad script. Plot holes, bad overused drama tropes, red flag relationship issues on both ends - I just couldn't finish.
Why the HECK did he randomly go blind? He was fine one moment, went to fight the not-zombies, covered his eyes…

The Fxxx bomb is offensive and not one that is used in polite company.
The Fxxx bomb is NOT a polite term. The very word is a derogatory description of something that SHOULD be full of love or at least kindness.
When going from group to group, a person CAN tell the CLASS of individual by the use and overuse of these types of words. The Fxxx bomb is a HUGE give away.
To elevate yourself, elevate your speech, in all forms. That includes written, English or otherwise.

Right?! I am always shocked at how the first few people who jump to rate these shows are usually in the negative. It's like they are the professor who refuses to give anything more than a C average grade in fear of the bell curve. Absolutely ridiculous.
I mean really, at this moment on MDL the stats are saying that the 6.9 result is from ONLY 9 users. Like HUH?? What are their standards? AND the show isn't even dubbed or AVALABLE in most areas yet. NOR the full 24 episodes even OUT in it's own country ( this is me being frustrated).
Granted the first few episodes had some pretty uncomfortable things going on with the medical slave thing that even had me wince. (Reminded me a little of Alchemy of Souls) Therefore, the topic is NOT your fluffy white bunny, all is sunny and cherry blossoms abound drama. Read the description and don't be thinking it's a popcorn movie night type of fun storyline. This is defiantly a drama capitol D. - Maybe THIS is why they gave a low rating? However, the scenes were not overly graphic and they set up the rest of the drama nicely.
Moreover, this IS a short drama after all - The music is really beautiful, the costumes lovely, the acting is dynamic, the visuals and production for this type of show - totally outstanding. (I REALLY wish this WAS a full length production. )
The constant low ratings at this site for VERY good show's have proven to me to not trust the actual rating scale here. I usually go to other places for a more accurate evaluation.

yes! So far in my opinion, It is one of the best, don't believe the low ratings. On the Chinese Tencent app where it is currently playing the rating is at 8.6 with over 4000 reviews. I just came from there and didn't find any negative comments. They are only up to episode 14 out of the 24 total. Too bad I can't get a sub to the vip there, I have to wait for my area to get them.
My only wish is that they had made this a full length, AND all the episodes were out - in my area. I am only on episode 6 and I am loving every moment, and hating the wait.
Absolutely loving this sweet drama. Kisses are totally tame but they just are dang cute, and I think they are all doing a fabulous job acting wise. I am on ep 20 at the moment and I really like how they did this storyline, I just hope the ending doesn't end my heart. I am getting way to invested in these characters. And that is saying something, I don't get pulled into a story that easily but this drama has done just that.
ML just looks like he is on a spell most of time and also obsessed with FL and it almost appears he wants to gobble…
Your mixing your immortal's - He is a vampire type immortal, not an immortal cultivator. This is not Xianxia where the immortal male character is cold and emotionless.
A Vampire doesn't cultivate, has deep feelings and IS the essence of hormones. That IS the type cast. The ML here is portraying the stereotypical vampire type absolutely perfectly.
If this were a Xianxia with immortals, cultivators and gods then you would have a point.
However, because the genre here is NOT Xianxia nor Wuxia, but a different fantasy genre all together, criticizing the ML and the story for "hormones" portrayed by the "vampire type" ML that by the genre's very definition, in any romantic connotation of a ROMANTIC vampire i.e. this is not a "horror vampire" story - but a "romantic vampire" story, is quite frankly - illogical.
( I say "type" in that he is not a "true vampire" burdened with every feature of the undead. However in support of this observation I point out the very obvious vampiristic qualities: he ONLY drinks RED "wine" ;-) is sensitive to sunlight, lives forever, has magical capabilities, is the essence of sexy and brooding etc. With these behaviors the audience can clearly deduct they are engaged within the genre of a "vampire romance" not Xianxia.)

This might help, I only use this site for the ones airing only on YouTube much much better platform, although it was not always the case - seems this site has cleaned up their act and they do a much better job.
I stumbled across this cute gem. I am so glad I did! Low budget Yes, short and choppy, yes. But totally worth it. The storyline is adorable. I would love to see this fully developed. The actors all did a great job with what they had and the time they had to develop each scene. I even think the production company could have done a better job given a bigger budget as the editing was not bad.
I am not one who actually likes short drama's, given the option I will pass. But this was too good a story.
Wow I was not expecting such a hidden gem. The acting by each character... just top notch, add to that a gripping storyline. This was one to watch. Be forewarned, this drama is NOT for the feint of heart, it gets violent. However, the violence actually suits the story.

Every "genre" has certain commonalities - they are ALWAYS built in. To tell a story in said "world" to be believable - there NEEDS to be a reasonable amount of rules to that world - OR you will cross over to ANOTHER GENRE .
The actors are doing a fabulous job. Every one of them. I am extremely impressed with the story line. I am enjoying the production, I am a bit of a theater backstage old school gal- and even though this is a movie - I am marveling at the set, the costumes, well the full deal really. Yes there are a few flaw's - but compared to C-drama's of say, only a few years ago - DANG - leaps and bounds improvement. But hey, I enjoy noticing the tech stuff, probably why the horror genre is so boring for me.
Furthermore, the OST has been lovely. So there you go. You have your preference- negative comments are not needed when they are clearly directed at the genre - NOT the actual show., story, actors, and the rest.
Just a bit of advice - Enjoy the show -or go watch a genre that you actually enjoy.
OR as my grandmother would say - If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
