I know, that asian culture does have a problem with mental illness but that it was not even addressed here, where the whole drama was about Soo Mins mental derangement surprises me a lot. Why and how can she end up in jail? She is in jail, right? They really tried to paint her as a spoiled, evil brat but portrayed all the signs of mental derangement - a fitting end would be her in a closed institution where she gets the help she so desperately needs.
Soo Min literally has every red flag there is stapled on her back. She's the definition of a lunatic not in her…
Unfortunately, she is not a spoiled brat, who does not know right from wrong. She shows all the signs of mental derangement. This can not be corrected that easily and needs years of therapy in a closed institution with ongoing sessions after she is released.
This was not what I expected it to be. To be honest, I do not get the SFL Eun Jin at all. She was the one, who turned the lifes of everybody around her upside down because she wanted to get back at her husband who cheated on her. So why was she the one, who played victim the whole time? Why starting an affair with a married man and hurting his wife, knowing, how much it had hurt her to be cheated? Does this make any sense at all? And then all she does for the rest of the drama is cry. Did she want pity from the people around her? Did she want them to see, how much she suffers? SHE was the perpetrator here, not the victim, so what in the holy cow was all that crying supposed to tell us? Strange that. That her husband cheated on her, was the best thing that could have happened to Mi Kyung IMO. She finally grew a spine, left that selfish jerk and his deranged mother and got out of her servant role. For me, it was not clear, what happened to them, if they stayed together or just met every now and then. I hope, she left him and in the perfect little drama world in my head she really did and met a great and honest guy.
A perfect example of a woman groomed into submission from a very young age. This is what you get, when you groom a child to believe, that she is worth nothing, that she should be grateful if she is not mistreated even more. She will grow up and not demand to be treated with respect, care and love. She will accept abuse and think she is in heaven, the moment the abuse gets less. This is our FL in this lakorn. ML is a jerk. FL family is crazy - yes, ALL of them and the WORST is the father, who did nothing to stop his wife and daughter from abusing an innocent child for years. Both, mother and daughter need serious help. Both are mentally deranged and need psychiatric care. The sister / daughter is clearly suffering but none of the people around her even consider taking her to a therapist to help her. Behaviour like that is in no way normal but no one seems to notice (or care?). Typical lakorn fashion. They even set her free after she attempted to murder TWO people. Strange that.
I think, I am in the minority here but I did not see any on screen chemistry, the FL character was way too pushy and annoying and she kind of forced him till the last two episodes. You see, I like slow burn romances, but if 13 out of 15 episodes is him trying to FINALLY get rid of her, then there is not much lakorn left to convince me, that he likes her. Maybe it was a mistake to watch this after KC.
Mediocre lakorn. On the plus side: finally one lakorn, where THAT kind of behaviour is namend as mental derangement and a doctor even suggests to get therapy! Wow! Usually SFL in lakorns are crazy, sometimes even kill off people and nobody is even considering getting them any kind of help. On the minus side: cheating. Yes, it is cheating, if you have a girlfriend (and a lovely one I might add!) and get close to another woman. I do not mean getting close in a "friend" kind of way, no, the ML falls in love with the FL and obviously wants "more" while keeping his girlfriend (for most of the drama) and telling her, how much he loves her. The romance part was done for me at that point and I only kept watching to know, what would happen to the sister. Def. no rewatch value and I FF and MUTED a lot (every time the sister started screeching).
For those, who are interested in the plot but can not tolerate the screaming FL: you can try watching seven of me. Maybe I am in the minority here, but I liked the chinese adaptation way more than the original. This is only (!) due to the FL. It was impossible for me to enjoy kill me heal me because she screamed so much and so loud and all the time. I can not tolerate constant overacting! So I was really happy to find this chinese adaptation which I could watch stress free. The FL in SOM was mature and dealed better with those difficult situations she was in without screaming all the time. The ML was good! Honestly I FF from time to time, because there are a lot of "mostly filler" scenes but overall it is a decent watch and I am happy to be able to watch the interesting plot without having my eardrums bursting out!

IMO this was NOT as bad as some of the comments suggest. Yes, it was not as funny as the original but it focuses more on the romance - in fact, it has more romance than the original. The leads did not spend that much time together in the original, there are no long conversations. This is different in this one and I liked that. Yes, the ML was a jerk at times, but so was the ML in the original. And again, yes, the FL looked more styled and less poor than the FL in the original but I did not mind this at all. I think, that both, ML and SML should not have been casted for this one. The ML did not look "classy and arrogant" enough and the SML lacked charisma and charme. Anyway, I liked this Thai adaptation. Not as much as the original but it is a decent watch!
You clearly don’t have a good taste, someone like you will be a sucker for ‘my demon’ as a dumb critic you…
Everybody is allowed to share his opinion. You obviously do not think, that the person writing his opinion is righ. That is ok. Even if you do not like it, you do NOT have the right, to insult another person.
If you mute the sound as soon as the FL is on screen: yes, absolutely! Beware, she is LOUD and she does not just scream, she screeches. So muting her is my best advice.
The actress is known for her screaming / overacting. Usually she stars in those exaggerated comedy dramas, where…
I actually saw very funny interviews where random people on the street in Korea were asked to imitate the actress....and really all of them started to distort their faces, screeched and made those exaggerated hand and whole body gestures. Wanted to watch KMHL so bad, but had to mute the sound whenever she was on screen. Since, I have started to avoid dramas where she is in. This kind of forced acting is not my cup of coffee.
the worst thing about this drama, was the missing chemistry. The ML looked, like he was forced to interact with the FL. The second thing, that really bothered me, was the FL attitude and her "style". How on earth can anyone show up at her workplace with holes in her socks, dirty, stained clothes and hair, that looks like it had not been washed in weeks? I mean, come on, no one would. At least use your washing machine or a bucket (!), wash your clothes and hang them to dry, wash your hair and brush your teeth. No one wants to see your lunch hanging in there and no one wants you to sneeze all over the place - cover your mouth and nose when you do so! That greasy hair, the lunch between her teeth, the dirty clothes with holes and her snot dripping off her nose - have nothing to do with being or not being pretty and everything to do with manners. Sorry.
