Well, considering the amount of attention I've been paying to this drama, I guess all the mystery makes for effective marketing.

I've got the feeling that we're not going to get a plot synopsis before this thing airs.

Yeah, I've gotten the same impression about their group dynamics. It's really frustrating trying to figure out what this drama is about from reuters and "vibes."

True, CDL doesn't have a huge fanbase but I don't think the reason that so few of her photos are uploaded here is because she isn't followed or papped, it's more likely because she isn't well-liked on MDL so no one bothers to upload her photos. I've thought about uploading a few of the photos I've seen because I think her styling is pretty in TSOM but I'm just too lazy. (as an aside, I find the "hate-boner" for her many international fans have to be bizarre and I probably would be more of an apologist for her on this platform but, again, I'm too lazy.)

I'm looking forward to this drama and I'm curious about CDL's character and performance. I think she has a certain type that she plays well but I hope that GJM can push her a bit beyond her type. I'd like to see her in a fight scene.

Ah, I like his styling here. They didn't stick a wig with goofy-looking bangs on him! (Apologies to those who like wigs with bangs...I think they can look good but too often just look goofy.)

My understanding is that Bai Lu's character is Yue Mi's mortal reincarnation and ARP's character is a form or aspect of Tian Qi. I think this drama is supposed to be set tens of thousands of years after Ancient Love Poetry.

Actually there is another description that I think might be Xu Zhen Xuan's role: "Main character male A (protagonist group) visual age 20, handsome, funny man, iron (?) and naive. He is righteous and loyal, hot-tempered, pays attention to commitment, and is not good at world affairs."

I'm just really happy that Neo's weapon is an umbrella. I haven't seen an umbrella used in a fight in a while. That sounds a little weird after I typed it out but it's totally true! I think it can look really cool.

Yeah, no one knows. My impression is that it's about a demon (Neo) hunting other demons. But that could be wildly inaccurate. I read some character descriptions (for casting purposes) on Weibo via translation but it didn't really offer any clues to plot. Just FYI, the description of the 2FL (Cheng Xiao) character is "visual age 25 years-old...handsome and cool beauty with an aura...rigorous, seemingly indifferent and arrogant but, in fact, ...gentle and kind in heart." I can't really match-up any of the other descriptions. There is one description for a "friendship guest appearance" that I guess might be Cheng Lei's role: "28 years-old, handsome, cold, and gloomy and cunning, ambitious. Anti-one (?)"

From what I've gathered, these are their character names...is this accurate?
Neo - Zhao Yuanzhou, CDL - Wen Xiao?, TJR - Zhuo Yichen, CX - Pei Sijing.

I was just thinking about how my daughter is almost Lester's age! She spotted me watching some BTS and was curious to see a kid about her age. Now she wants to act in a tv show, too.

I just want to know more about the story. There's just enough to be tantalizing: Apparently Neo is a "big demon" and he's hunting other demons?? It seems like Lester is a demon too (a "little demon" is you will) but TJR, CX, and CDL are not demons? It's fun to look at the pictures and speculate. So I guess I keep checking out this page to see if there is finally a synopsis.

Yes, there is a novel written by GJM. I don't know which came first, the novel or the script. Answering my own question, it seems the novel is completely uploaded now. Here is the link:

But only the first two chapters are free! I guess there probably isn't much more information in the novel, anyway...(and I'm sure I'd probably only understand a third of the translation...)

Is the MJTY novel still ongoing? I was curious about the novel's ending.

Nobody is uploading her pictures here. (Yeah, I'm aware that a lot of MDL users don't like her but I'm definitely neutral. I want her to be good in the drama because I want to enjoy watching it.) I've found pictures of her elsewhere. You can find them pretty easily on X/Twitter by searching her name. She and Cheng Xiao seem to be getting along so you can find videos of them together. Her costumes are more subtle than the other actors but I found the white/beige one rather pretty and her hair styling is very nice, imo.

Yes! I was thinking about watching Xu Zhen Xuan in My Lady General and Cheng Lei in Queen of Attack when I made my post. Though, of the two mini dramas, I think that My Lady General is genuinely interesting, different, and worth a watch. There is no need to watch Queen of Attack as you can definitely see Cheng Lei in better stuff now.

I just like looking at all the costumes. After they finally stepped off that porch or whatever there have been so many costume changes! Oh, and play "spot the MJTY cast member," of course.

I can't believe Xu Zhen Xuan is in this too! I seem to have the same taste for up-and-coming talent as GJM. My new dream job is a casting director. I would just have to sit around watching low-budget mini web dramas all day and pluck actors from obscurity.

Yes, the matchy matchy sparkling white numbers were a bit much for me too. I think your description, "wuxia Liberace light" is apt. Overall, I really like the costumes and hair/wigs in this drama, though. I think that the men, especially, are dressed well.

I'm also curious about how he passed the 2nd trial. Who was the "subordinate"? Like you said, Elder Yue looked very emotional when he was talking about it, you'd think he had a personal stake in it.
