Most drama start with an easy...meet...greet...get to know each other and then villian in the half and 3rd quarter who takes over screen time....ect...
The reverse...seems to be here so far...angst...villian to start ...progress to to the opposite
I don't really know this writer....but the only one i watched...finished and enjoy is CLOY
With that limited comparison....it seems to me, her writing is based on cliche and trope, but done in a seemly more refreshing and updraded way.
That is how i felt about cloy. They had lots of heart and great characters.
I am enjoying QOT, mostly for the leads....what QOT lack is great supporting characters, the heart.
I wish there was more than 2 great supporting roles....i understand the family dynamics they are trying to portray..... I'm sure all of us will talk 75% leads interactions/progression with 25% - other
The comradery and interaction with the ML and his crew was soo heart warming, along with their interactions with the FL.
I know QOT is more serious and darker....in the sense that it highlights the human flaws ....grey characters....highlights traumas...family dynamics....in which is really relatable to an asian household....showing a breakdown of marriage.....miscarriage...mental health
These topics are rarely discussed in an Asian house hold. I'm asian and i can see some of the parallels in my house hold that created trauma
My parents were not affectionate to me and is cold....like FL parent's..... I'm also a product of my environment....i still don't properly know how to display affections and to express my emotions.
Vs. My friend who is of spanish culture and they greet each other with a kiss and i don't even hug
She joke, that I'm her cactus. Someone told me i was an ice queen..... again a product of our environment
