Unfortunately that is how majority of asian drama are....these are the cliche and trope device they often use and will cont. To use cuz ppl in these asian country enjoys it....they did well in ratings....
I watched thai, korean, chinese , pinoy.....it is the norm for these :playful : fighting/ teasing
And then there the clear psychotic corporative punishment
I saw clips of pinoy love the women and it is crazy....makang? We call it....thai ppl call it nam nao
I chose not to watch those extreme....
We are fortunate we have that choice...
I have never excuse the childish behaviors of a character. But it's the writer lack of creative writing and development

Like the tiring love triangle....birth secret...noble idiocy....arm tugging from the guys...screeching from the girls..amnesiac.....ect...
Guilty pleasure....i avoid usually them.... but sometime the ridiculous is what ppl watch for
I sometime want a simple easy watch.....vibe with it...no thinking involve
There is many drama out there with NO romance...bromance....

I enjoyed Saved Me (kdrama about a cult)
Started The memorist kDrama about mind scanner and murder mystery...

The problem with BYN goes beyond just being a loud, annoying, selfish, spoiled brat. My biggest issue with her…
i disagree about her dad.....they had subtle moments but the drama doesn't focus on that bqck story or history of the family. I.e. at the dinner....b4 she left...she whisper to the maid to becareful about the salt?fatty food for her dad...it's not good for his health. She had plenty of 1 on 1 talk with the ML about her father and him about his.

It is a suspension of beliefs with the usual trope and cliche.....i have seen enough asian dramas...that unfortunately the way the F.L. acting like that is kind of the usual normal cliche....do i love it? Not necessarily...but i can tolerate it in a sense of suspension of disbelief....would like like a progression in asian drama F.L.....yes...unfortunately i feel like most these Male writting are not progressing as quickly...

Her character....some of these drama has those type of "characters"....it seems to be the norm....they aren't necessarily wicked horrible....depends on the person....but i can see it as being annoying.
I started with Oh my Emperor and liked her in there.....some of these "characters " are very similar in writing.....but she has portray a few other type of characters ....
She's only started she will grow as an actor and hopefully get a chance to do some more different type of characters

K version was 16 ep ans i felt it dragged by a little bit after thr half way point
I almoat started it but...as i predicated the storyline was a way i hate a noona romance.....glad i didn't wastw my time to start it

I think there is a decent amount of drama w/o romance and juat comradery between people...man & women
