Misunderstanding is not even a romantic plot. It also didn't provide any type of plot driven trobe. Also considering how the couple is supposed to be so mature. That's why people love the first part. They dragged it on for at least 7 episodes when it should have been like two and these two characters should had provided some type of boundaries as grown adults

Me and the other commenter we're so annoyed and pissed off about the stupid irrelevant plot of the misunderstanding. Then apparently they added some more Trope and cliche into it.

I don't know about timing. But for sure I have not seen many dramas with well-written main leads which continue to still keep our interest with their interaction with how well they work together

They always add some kind of stupid silly Petty wrap. Which only annoys the viewers. I know there was a lot of viewers on the second season of peonies being annoyed with the miscommunication and down voting it

I seen a few comments saying how this is a rare case and how these characters are portrayed in a mature way and how they interact

I didn't read the novel so.. if I did read the novel then it will be able to have some kind of comparison. But I feel since many of us didn't read it and as you mentioned there's a lot of norm watcher... the Simplicity and flow of it works

Part two was so annoying with the type of miscommunication they had as grown mature adults. They were supposed to be trusted comrades but they can't even speak openly to each other. They had the troll and cliche. They threw in the noble idiocracy. They didn't even confine and work together

That was the reason why the first season was so well received. In this drama they display the type of mature Romance and communication can be like. It's really refreshing. That's why I feel it resonates with a lot of viewers

Would also say the chemistry and the script....it is a no nonsense...easy to watch drama

But i also seem bad scripts that " survive " because they only watch for the chemistry

I feel this 1 has both...enjoyable script with great chemistry
