The drama was great in the beginning. It had me sat from episode 1 - 10. However the last 2 episodes felt disconnected from the first 10. It felt like the writer didn't want to put in anymore effort into tying up the story properly and wrote the first thing that came to mind, ignoring the plot holes created by the lack of elaboration.
That's not to say that the last 2 episodes were entirely bad, but they would have been so much better if we had an episode or 2 before the last two where we got explanations and a proper build up to the events of the last two episodes.
It's been a long time since a K-drama disappointed me this much. The cast was amazing, but the writing? It honestly…
You took the words right out of my mouth. It feels like every episode was written by a different person. Every thing is shallow and nothing makes sense. I'm so surprised that it has such a good rating. I had high hopes due to all the hype it received but it's absolute nonsense.
I love flawed characters but Gang Hui doesn’t sit right with me either.
I am literally rooting for Seok Gyeong but I foresee him and Esther ending up together. But bottom line is the main leads would be better off apart. They both need a fresh start with people who weren't part of their past.

I don't think either of them are bad people but rather, they bring out the worst in each other. I haven't finished it yet but I hope they don't end up together
I disagree. Understanding the FL’s trauma or past doesn’t mean we’re excusing her actions. It just adds…
But drama is about a villain though. It's about a woman who uses people to get what she wants and becomes rich and powerful. The perspective here is to show her downfall. How the life she builds for herself by using people will crumble. She will probably have a very miserable ending because that's the whole point on the drama.
Okay, so the it wasn't terrible. I quite enjoyed it and found myself waiting for Saturday every week.
But the ending pissed me off. I almost cried when the king watched Ji Yeong dissappear into thin air as he sobbed his heart out. And my heart tightened when Ji Yeong was reading the note over and over again trying go back to him.
It would have been perfect if the drama ended there. But they just had to reunite, which isn't a bad thing but the way they did it annoyed me. Those last 20 minutes were LAZY writing. The king just appeared out of nowhere and we got no explanation as to how he did it. It was such a turn off.
If there's anything I truly don't like about the final episode is how they wasted the final scenes, the post escape…
Exactly!!! I was dying to see what happened to Rio and Tokyo and whether Nairobi got her son back. We didn't even get to see how Berlin and Seoul reunited with everyone else
I wouldn't say that any gynaecologist is poor, but compared to the other levels of chaebol I suppose so...
The reason why everyone says he played a poor character is because all his other characters were always insanely rich living in mansions and such. Where as in this drama, even though he played a doctor, he was in debt, lived in a run down apartment, and drove an old car.
Also, the only reason he was able to go to space was because the SFL and her family sponsored the trip so he could go farm the eggs.
Whew… where do I even start? This drama had potential — I’m talking serve me royal romance on a silver platter…
I just finished watching the drama and this comment sums it up perfectly😂
The amount of times I paused because I just couldn't believe the writers really thought they did something was wayyyy too many times.
And just to add one more thing to the list, how did the queen mother survive so long in her position because she was so clueless the entire time.
This drama really had great potential but missed the mark so bad. Although, I do think if I had watched it ten years ago I would have ate it up. I'm so disappointed that I'm this close to writing a fan fiction just to satisfy my craving
The drama was okay compared to season 1 with there being so many discrepancies. My biggest one though is the make up and the way they handled post-fight/beatings. 40% of the drama was fifht scenes, yet, there were no bloody broken noses, broken bones, fractures, or bruised faces post fight/beating. I understand that this is a drama and that they can't be realistic in everything, however, it absolutely annoyed me how a character would literature trampled on by multiple people and only get a small scratch on the cheek then the next scene, they are perfectly okay. The punches were coordinated, filmed, and edited perfectly but not a single bloody nose, bruised eye etc.
I'm probably overrating but it bothered me throughout the drama, especially during the last fight scene.
everytime I decide to watch this drama i watch these bad reviews and low rating. and my mind changes. please for…
Pro tip, don't read comments and just watch it. Watch it without any external opinions influencing you and formulate your own. This happens to me a lot of times and I found it helpful to not read comments until I've completed the drama so I can decide for myself whether I like it or not.
And for what's it's worth, I'm enjoying the drama. it's has a unique plot, the characters are funny and also have depth, which is continuing to be unraveled with every episode. It's unique plot makes it's hard to guess what's going to happen next which is something I have missed since a lot of dramas nowadays are basically predictable.
By don't take my word for. Watch it for yourself and decide.

This is what happens when Lee Min Ho plays a poor character😂😂
