For me these two exceptions are one of the main points of watching the drama...so i am being sceptical now...should…
Cdramas specialize in having their cake and eating it, too. For example, it's pretty common for a Cdrama to kill the main leads off in the last episode, but give them a happy ending through reincarnation. I hate endings like that because these endings are lazy and cowardly.
Also, Cdramas famously end with ambiguous or open endings., which commonly don't conform to the original ending of the novel the Cdrama is based on. I hate these, too.
I don't know if this answers your question, but lots and lots of people think Legend of Fu Yao is the best drama they've ever seen. Not me.
Best not to watch this drama, if you do so because the synopsis sounds interesting. (Well, the synopsis DOES sound interesting. And I wish the drama had been like the synopsis, which it ain't.)
WHY ARE PEOPLE SAYING IT IS A COPY OF HOLLYWOOD SHOW AND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME!A COUPLE DAYS AGO SOMEONE…
While every word you've written is completely true, I'm not sure it is necessary to capitalize every.single.letter, as this rather subtracts from your otherwise worthwhile points.
Great little actor too! My heart broke a million times over. :'(
That scene when the ML is auditioning for action school, and little Hoon comes over and he's crying because the ML has a head wound really broke my heart. You know he's going to die (it's a plot point) but you've already fallen in love with him so it hurts so much when the plane crashes--which just makes you so glad that Lee Seung Gi is going to become ferocious.
A very good first episode, and I'm looking forward to how this drama plays out. I'm a big fan of parkour, which is both difficult to do and film. The relationship between the ML and his nephew was very moving. A lot can happen in the next 15 episodes, but I think this is a hit.
This is show is like trying to read an erotic novel, but someone did you the favor of cutting out all the good…
Although they weren't particularly good or highly rated, I really liked Perfect Crime, and Kakafukaka. Both of these are very recent, so I'm sure you've seen them.
The tags on this drama are killin' me. "Shy". "Clumsy", "Childish", "Airhead", "Weak" female lead. I can't stop…
This is show is like trying to read an erotic novel, but someone did you the favor of cutting out all the good parts. There are so many head fakes in this show, I can't even. The ML says, maybe half a dozen times "you need to be punished" or "i'm going to punish you", and I'm like,, oh goody, bring it on, and then . . .nothing happens.
Also, as promised in the tags above, Risa is a galactic dope, and there's absolutely no reason why any of the male characters in this drama would be attracted to her (never mind all of them)--unless guys like women slow and stupid like that. (Trust me. They don't. Not even in Japan.)
I think Japan is the very best at producing sexy, erotic dramas that are still PG rated, but this one is just not it.
The little girls in this lakorn are truly outstanding. Also, Jett Sunisa as the malignant sociopathic sister is a revelation. You will hate her to death. It's almost worth watching this drama just for the girls, and Sunisa. But no. This is an unpleasant lakorn to watch.. The first version of this drama with Andrew Gregson is much better (it's also quite bad, though.)
It's a Netflix drama? Nuts. I'm losing my taste for splitting the drama in two and calling the halves "seasons". I barely watch Netflix as it is, but it looks like they're just dyin' to give me a reason to cancel my subscription. I'll wait and see how they roll this out.
When I watch many Thai dramas so many times have the same questions as you do. Eg So Sanaeha.
With several exceptions (but not many), the only way you can watch a Thai drama is by removing your brain first. I absolutely love lakorns, but most of them are the dumbest things in the world. I recently watched a Thai drama where the FL's hair color changed back and forth from brown to black and from long to short in the same scene, over and over again. It was preposterous, but by no means the only example--or even worst example--of the terribleness of many Thai dramas.
Also, Cdramas famously end with ambiguous or open endings., which commonly don't conform to the original ending of the novel the Cdrama is based on. I hate these, too.

Thanks for the article.
