Yes, I like it better than before, too. (There's one song that is not good because the singer is off key and flat, but I've only heard it twice, and the rest of the songs are okay.)

I lol'd--most of the time because there are moments that are really funny. But some of the time because of the moments that are ridiculous or cringey. The OST is maybe the worst I've heard in two years, which I didn't care about at all because the sound effects are very, very good.

It's lovely and fun. Accept it the way it is and get over what it isn't, and you'll like it so much.

Worst I've ever seen were worn by the FL in "Face Off". That girl had pompoms on every thing she wore. Even her socks.

And a good thing, too! Bad costumes are one thing, but bad-fitting, bad costumes are something else entirely.

Not the era of Chinese history I generally like, and my Spidey sense is telling me that this drama is not trying too hard to be factually accurate.

I'm up to episode 12. I think Deng Lun's costumes are absurd and the dubbing is terrible. Also, I think all the characters are really over acting. I'll stay with it because I like the plot but large parts of every episode are completely skippable.

Synopsis of this drama makes it sound utterly looney, and I'm here for it.

Oh my. Now this is what a lakorn should be, in all its wretched glory. There's screaming. There's slapping. There's boyfriend stealing. There's ridiculously inappropriate office clothing. It's so deliciously over the top, and I'm only on episode 4. I hate everyone in the drama, which means I don't have to care how it ends, I can just relax and roll with awesome badness this show is. Honestly, if you have a love/hate relationship with lakorns, you won't want to miss this one.

Boy, a lot of these remakes, I'm wondering "do we really need another version of xxxxx?" And the answer is always "of course we do." I especially enjoy remakes of dramas which work out (sort of) in one culture, but wouldn't in the culture that's remaking the drama. ("Gossip Girl", for example. )

So far, I'm really digging the measured pace of this drama, and the maturity of the theme. (That's how I felt about Misty, too, when it first started. And then Misty stopped being good and finished up by sucking. Just my opinion! Don't shoot!)

Teensy, tiny complaint, though: I wish you had put the movie title for every movie, even for the movies where the movie name is on the poster. (Maybe you did, and I just didn't see it?)

I know it isn't, I live in a suburb of Los Angeles where a wonderful Thai restaurant named "Phuket Thai Food" is referred to locally as "the fuck it Thai place".

I'm sorry though. I really, really hate it that the entire planet is expected to be aware of the sensitivities of the United States. Who died and made us Gods? Why should someone not from the United States have to apologize for using something that's completely harmless and meaningless in their own countries? Should we demand that Thailand change Phuket's name because it sounds like "fuck it" in English?

Huh. So far, Thai remakes of other popular Asian dramas have been . . . underwhelming, with two possible exceptions (Full House and Kiss Me). But I've liked almost all versions of the original manga, so I'll look forward to seeing how Thailand does BOF.

Cdramas specialize in having their cake and eating it, too. For example, it's pretty common for a Cdrama to kill the main leads off in the last episode, but give them a happy ending through reincarnation. I hate endings like that because these endings are lazy and cowardly.

Also, Cdramas famously end with ambiguous or open endings., which commonly don't conform to the original ending of the novel the Cdrama is based on. I hate these, too.

I don't know if this answers your question, but lots and lots of people think Legend of Fu Yao is the best drama they've ever seen. Not me.
