Of course ppl can have different opinions about the same show! I just think that rating a 29 ep drama with 1 star after only watching the first 1 or 2 ep is odd 🤷‍♀️

I never said anything about giving 10? Of course ppl can have different opinions. Also constructive criticism is always welcome and opens an opportunity for interesting discussions.

I’m referring to the ones giving 1 star rating just to bring down the rating. Like that person who claimed to rate 1 star because they thought the rating at the time was too high 🤔

To the ppl down rating this show, I guess you’re not into healthy non-toxic relationships. Better stick to your stalker CEO/billionaire ml or celeb fl and leave us ordinary ppl to enjoy our ordinary characters and their sweet ordinary love in peace ✌️

Why “watch” something that is not your cup of tea just to justify giving it a 1 star rating?

I heard the timeline for the stories make them hundreds or even thousands of years apart so obviously she was dead by then 😅

You can skip to XZ’s parts tbh His character is great in here and worth watching. His story is also more interesting than the other 2 mains. I think you would still enjoy watching his journey! One of his best characters imo

So true! His roles are all very different but tend to carry lots of pain. He’s an actor with a very bright future

Xiao Zhan really likes to pick the most angsty and unlucky characters huh… but I guess that is part of the reason that makes them so memorable. And looking at his new drama The Longest Promise, all I can see is: pain, pain, and more pain lol
But with that being said, GYY is one of my fav characters and will rewatch his parts again.

Wow GYY what a beast! GYY is the heart and soul of this drama but I feel like the writers always did him dirty. It is like the characters and writers are against him all the time 🙃 And don’t get me started on that ungrateful little brat he raised… One thing I’m glad about is that he dumped jnz because she doesn’t deserve him 😌#justiceforguyiye #guyiyedeservesbetter

Good. The way I see it, it’s a story about brotherhood, loyalty and sacrifice. Good battle scenes and a bit of comedy. At times you need to prepare a box of tissues because its is packed with tear jerker moments. My advice is to try the first 6ish episodes and then decide for yourself if it is one for you. This is a 40 ep drama so don’t be quick to judge from the first episode.

I have to say, I love reading your reviews after each episode. I always find myself agreeing with you 😃 so far I ‘m enjoying the show much more than I anticipated since military/war is not my go to genre. Xiao Zhan is really versatile and picks interesting characters. GYY is the highlight of the show for me and I can’t wait to see more.

Kind of hard to judge a 40 ep drama from 1 ep imo. I would say watch the first 6ish episodes or so. I think I would have missed on many good dramas if I only relied on the first ep lol

Gu Yiye continues to be the best thing about this show. Best character arc imo. I just wish they would focus oh his story a bit more.
