Ahhhhhh there was dances. There were aliens. It was just not for me, sadly. The series is not devoid of effort or ideas, it’s just that it’s all so wanly presented. Also, I found it hard to stay immersed in the story . I did think the plot could be interesting and I kept hoping things would get better in the end, but alas :(
There are ends we don't desire... With an interesting worldbuilding, "My journey to you" might take a while to suck you into the story but the perilous storms and main characters at the heart of it will keep you hooked till the end.
As a watching experience, this was very much a mixed bag. There were moments where I was interested and engaged, but also large sections where I was kind of bored.
This movie manages to combine the macro plot of murders, treacheries, secret plans, an interesting mystery with the specific micro plot of Mao Bang Yu & Wu Ming Han coming together in such a satisfying way.And I like it.
