It's very unlikely. There's no reason for Yo-han to kill Isaac. The fire was most likely an accident. It wouldn't…
If it had been an accident, the drama would have already shown the scene where the fire started. There is no such scene yet. It means that it was not an accident and the viewers will learn the truth in the second half of the drama. Elijah came from the other side of the church. We don't know how the fire looked like, because the drama showed it from Yo Han's perspective, and he could be lying about the details.

Could you for god's sake mark it as Spoiler. Thank You.
Spoilers only apply to future episodes. 8 episodes have already aired, so these are not spoilers.

Title The Devil Judge Spoiler
My conclusions after 8 episodes
1. Yo Han killed his brother. He began to feel guilty after Isaac's death.
2. Yo Han doesn't want revenge, but power. He hates people.
3. Ga On knows that he was not the biological child of his parents. From episode 3 (Isaac's photo), he knows that he is a relative of the Kang family.
4. Ga On doesn't trust Yo Han, Jin Joo doesn't trust Sun Ah.
5. Sun Ah has evidence of Yo Han's crimes.
On The Devil Judge Jul 26, 2021
I doubt that Ga On is really on Yo Han's side. Yo Han doesn't care about people, justice, everything is a game for him. He is dangerous to the citizens and the country (Sun Ah and Yo Han corrupt people and destroy their morals in the name of "justice"). Ga On is like a secret agent on a mission without backup now. He knows it could end in death for him. He was preparing the entire 8th episode for this.

All the actors portray the characters the way the writer imagined it. These aren't meant to be one-dimensional characters. Sun Ah has a "pure heart like a child" and at the same time is an evil person.

Title The Devil Judge Spoiler
Is there significance behind Kim Ga On and Kang Isaac looking exactly the same? Did I miss something or has that…
We don't know yet. There are 12 episodes left to the end of the drama. Gaon is going to be shown as a child and as a teenager, so maybe these flashbacks will explain if there is a connection between him and Isaac.

This is nothing new in the dramaland. Twenty years ago, dramas of this type were already being made. Que Sera Sera (2007), What Happened in Bali (2004), Discovery of Romance (2014), I need romance (2011).

"Writer Moon had been telling me that since he covered stories about good judges in Ms. Hammurabi, he wants to portray an evil judge, acting like a Batman or Joker, set in a fictional world. And he finally made it into a series."
Director Choi Jung-gyu, whose work includes the MBC mystery series "Children of Nobody," noted that the series questions the growing popularity of shows about a dark hero, such as recently wrapped "Taxi Driver" and "Vincenzo."
"Most dark hero series have action and are about fighting bad with bad. But with this series, the writer is making us think, 'Why are people crazy about dark heroes," he said. "The central theme which will be laid out through Ji's character is the biggest difference between our drama and previous series."
Ji said that he had a hard time studying the role at first. "I had trouble understanding the character… (at first) I thought of the character as a good person who embraces evil. But he is just evil," he said. "Depending on the perspective, the evil character wasn't just fascinating but was depressing and agonizing."

"About his character Kang Yo Han, the titular “devil judge,” Ji Sung said, “He’s not a nice character like in other dramas. He’s a judge who uses evil to combat evil. It reminds me of Goethe’s tragedy ‘Faust.’ I wanted to portray him as a character whose kindness takes strength from evil, but the writer told me, ‘You’ve got it all wrong. You’re not Faust, but rather Faust’s tempter, Mephistopheles.’ I was shocked by that revelation.”
Asked about the alternate universe setting, Kim Min Jung said, “It wasn’t that difficult. I didn’t really feel that it was an alternate universe. The drama shows incidents that go beyond our current situation, but it’s not that different from reality. It’s not like it’s set 100 years in the future.” Jinyoung said, “The director told us to focus on each situation more than the overall world. Rather than a dystopian world, it’s more focused on the situations that the characters are going through. Since it’s a universe where people are living, the characters feel the same emotions. I also got a lot of help from others. It was fun to film.”
Kim Min Jung plays Jung Sun Ah, the executive director of a social responsibility foundation and Kang Yo Han’s nemesis. “If I have to categorize her, I’d say she’s closer to evil than good,” she said. “But I think that it wouldn’t be fair to label her as just a ‘villainess.’ She’s a woman who has the charms of a femme fatale but also has a kind of pure-heartedness about her.”
Jinyoung plays Kim Ga On, an associate judge to head judge Kang Yo Han, and Park Gyu Young plays Yoon Soo Hyun, Kim Ga On’s childhood friend who is now a police detective. Park Gyu Young said, “Soo Hyun appears very brave and strong and tough and cool, but a lot of her actions draw strength from Ga On. She spent some of the most beautiful moments in her life with Ga On, and she wants to protect that. In real life, I get a lot of good energy from Jinyoung.”

Title The Devil Judge Spoiler
“The Devil Judge” is a drama set in an alternate-universe, dystopian version of Korea where the entire nation participates in a trial through a live broadcast courtroom show. Ji Sung stars as Kang Yo Han, a head judge with mysterious intentions: is he a hero of the people in a world filled with chaos, or is he a devil who wears the mask of the law?
Former judge Moon Yoo Suk, who wrote the hit legal drama “Miss Hammurabi” and has since left the courtroom behind to focus on his writing, penned the script for “The Devil Judge.”
Describing his inspiration for the story, Moon Yoo Suk remarked, “I think this kind of society is the perfect stage for a devil judge to rise as a hero by putting on a flashy trial show amidst the anger and discontent of the public.”
“Sadly, from a certain point on,” he continued, “rather than a kind and just protagonist, people started preferring to have an extremely powerful person on their side, no matter what their motives are. That’s the fantasy that this new era demands.”
“Instead of that fantasy in and of itself, I thought it was more fun to imagine what kinds of things might happen if that fantasy actually became a reality,” he went on.

This is not going to be a typical courtroom drama. There will be many action and psychological scenes.
"tvN’s new weekend series The Devil Judge is set in a dystopian version of Korea where people harbor hatred towards their leaders. In such a society, trials are held through a courtroom live show aired on television. Ji Sung recalled the moment he first met The Devil Judge. “I wanted to look back on the justice of the present day through the series,” he shared. The actor then introduced the fictional element in his work, similar to the one in “Batman,” as one of its attractive features. About his character Kang Yohan, Ji Sung explained, “He may be an unrealistic character, but I was attracted to such aspect. I wanted to know more about Yohan's life and the pain in his life. " Kang Yohan is a judge whose action falls somewhere between evil and good. Ji Sung added, "I wanted to find and express a different side of me with a character that I’ve never played before."

“In order to maximize the charm of the original work, we combined both real-life footage and animations. It will have a new episodic format, and it’s being prepared as a drama with multiple seasons that has 14 episodes per season. We plan on greeting viewers with a new, never-before-seen visual experience that is still relatable. Please look forward to the synergy of the actors, who will add their own colors to the characters with very unique personalities.”
