Great Article here are some of mine I Hate it when.... -The female is badass and then they make her a damsel in distress. I loved Are You Human Too, but the FL started out seeming so bad ass but then had to be saved and rescued to much by the end it made me a little sad. -The sismance or bromance is ended by betrayal over a guy/girl. Like how flimsy is your friendship if it is that easily broken. Similarly when the FL doesn't get to have friends and the ML is the only person in her life. Idk why that makes me sad. -The SFL /SML is evil for no reason. Like they are just so full of piss/vinegar/spite and they are just super hateful and it is never explained why. -There are misunderstandings that literally would take two seconds to explain but no one ever does...this one REALLY gets me I love it when.... -The evil guy is tamed by the goodness of the FL and starts to change/see he was wrong. -The actors have good chemistry.
I have tried to watch the other versions but Hana Yori Dango in Japanese was my first one and my favorite. Through it I discovered my love for dramas and the group Arashi in which Matsumoto Jun is my favorite. I don't know why but the 'douche-bag with a secret heart of gold' is just my favorite trope and it all started with Domyouji. I can't explain it either actually <3 Great article~
Honestly this series was a gem. The cast was lovable, and their stories were hilarious but also full of heart. We all needs friends like these and the advice given by Dr. Natt was great for life. Honestly this series is one that will stick with me for a while and it made me sad to finish it so fast TT
I am currently watching an amazing sismance Thai series called 'Wake Up Chanee (Ladies) the Series.' Not only is it funny but also heartwarming and full of great advice. These 5 are some serious goals!
There is a kabe don in 'Kurosaki-kun no iinari ni nante naranai' that might be the most ridiculous kabe don to date...he uses both hands and a foot, it is hilarious. Honorable mention to Chiba Yudai's elevator kabe don in 'Kyou wa kaisha yasumimasu.' I think my other favorite trope is the 'ago kui,' where the guy (usually) lifts the girls chin and brings them in closer. The word it self is 'chin' and the onomatopoeia for a creaking sound...which just makes it even funnier!
The newest episode really threw me for a loop. Because it was established early that one of NSIII's rules was not to hurt So Bong but human Shin was allowed to override that in manual mode. The 'Protect Kang So Bong' rule was completely flouted twice. I don't know why but I figured even in manual mode that rule would be an absolute. Like you said, the writers can do what they want, but I really though this rule would be the one to remain unbroken. Also it is starting to make human Shin's character nonredeemable as this is the 3rd time he has caused or directly assaulted So Bong for no other reason that he didn't like her, or to teacher he a lesson.
Not to say I didn't love his acting and character as well in Cheese in the Trap--but one large contribution to…
Ah yes I am aware of the crazy debacle that surrounded Cheese in the Trap and how Park Hae Jin got the short end of the stick. That definitely was unfair to him. I was just musing that it was the first time I saw Seo Kang Joon and I really liked him in that role. Fans were right to be upset though Park Hae Jin was treated unfairly.
Honestly I am so ecstatic that Seo Kang Joon is killing it in this drama! I have always loved his acting but have only seen him where he is the second lead in things like Cheese in the Trap (although really he became to lead to me) and Cunning Single Lady. I am not being overly fan girl when I say I really think he should win an award for this. Nam Shin and Nam Shin III feel like different actors because the way he plays them and it is great!
I did not like how wishy washy they made Ja's character. I understand her thinking about her future and initially…
She ends up with Por....but she has a lot of going back and forth before she does and it gets a little old. I liked it but I don't know if I would recommend it...there are better things out there ^^
Hana Yori Dango was my first drama and Domyouji my all time favorite love. Because of HYD I have been an Arashi fan since 2007 as well as a Matsumoto Jun fan. ^^
I really liked this one. I am glad I watched it...at first I was apprehensive because Knock and Korn fell a little flat for me in Bad Romance...they spent most of the time fighting or broken up but there story here was really nice. There was real passion in the kissing and their story felt real. Also Yihwa and the crew were amazing. I can't wait to see season 3 and have Cho thrown back in the mix (I loved him he is hilarious.) I did kind of wonder why they didn't add Dewey and Being to this since they were BFF's with Yihwa....also I kind of didn't like the Bright...he always felt sleazy to me o_O
I am not a big fan of the student/teacher love story but I keep watching them because they keep casting my favorite actors TT Matsumoto Jun is my number one favorite but I think I might have decline this one.
Suki na hito ga iru koto is one of my favorite J-dramas but I think he really stood out for me in the Chihayafuru movies the most. I will be sad if she doesn't pick him even though Arata (Makenyu) is also a good and charismatic character. Gosh I can't wait to see the third movie.
