Woah, I can't describe the feelings this drama gave me. It's beyond brilliant. Bear with the first episode (it's really long) and then you won't be able to put it down. I'm in love.
The fourth episode made quite a splash yesterday. One of the scenes were all over sns.
It's unfortunate that to see hotter than hot and cuter than cute Sato Takeru diligently playing out shoujo manga tropes one has to suffer through extremely problematic premise and silly plot. Are Takeru's scenes really worth it?
I'd say, they are worth quite a lot. See for yourself but don't forget to turn yout brain off.
I also must add that Korean romcoms is the genre golden standard (Hanadan and other classics nonwithstanding) and they feature the hottest ever male leads. But do they feature everyone's fave rurouni? No, they don't.
This special includes all the fluff and romcon shenanigans they didn't have the time for in the second movie. Tanaka Kei has his moment to shine and gets to play Tsuchiya Tao's love interest.
I can't recommend the original novels by Hiro Arikawa enough to those unsatisfied with the narrative structure of this special and the second movie.

4) What is your favourite Suda's role in the projects where he is not an antagonist and doesn't commit any major crimes? (Please, use the spoiler reply if it's unclear from the project synopsis whether he is antagonist or not).

Disclaimer: No shade for any of the Suda's projects is implied.
Sweet romance, charismatic characters, great action, tomboyish female lead who really kicks ass, comedy, strong message - this movie got it all. This is a great adaptation a great novel deserves.
Firstly, despite the marketing, it is not a detective mystery in the least. There is murder but it's very much not the point.
Secondly, again, despite the marketing, the movie is heavily problematic. Expect to be horrified by several scenes and to be disappointed by the usual toxic tropes.
While one can't imagine a project more suitable for Yamada Takayuki, I heard that the real life porn actress who is a character in this show was against being used in this way. It tells you all you need to know about the level of sexism in this show. Some western critics also commented on it.
All this rumours make me reluctant to watch the show, though, of course, the rumours may be inaccurate.
I really tried but I couldn't finish it. The cringe overcame me. The premise is great but the central arc foreshadowing destroyed my suspension of disbelief. Sorry, Sakurai Cho!
I am traumatised by this movie. I'd definitely recommend you to steer clear of it. There are lots of less extreme movies and dramas that showcase the unique 'Han' aspect this movie is famous for while being a lot more palatable.
The rumour is Arimura Kasumi will play Tomoe.
Let's hope they deliver great performances!
HE PLAYS ENISHI!!!

1) Main character of Oh, Wilderness (Seto from Setoutsumi gets honourable mention).
2) Kamen Rider W's Philip (Sensei from 3-Nen-A-Gumi gets honourable mention).
3) Main character of Oh, Wilderness.
4) Shotaro from Dele.
5) Todome no Kiss' homeless man.
6) I don't! And it's very awkward to call him just 'Suda' that's why I'm asking.

I think I understand your perspective better now. And you gave me something to think about.
Anyway, I can't wait till War of Archimedes hits internatinal fandom and we can fangirl about it!
