I have a feeling that she might try to find things to get him cooked + assist KuXin and get back in her better graces. I think he threatened her with exposing her uncle's shady dealings. The story really turned dark. Like QH went from unscrupulous antagonist to even darker villain. KuXin basically has given us the trope breakdown of what the antagonists did. We didn't get to see it, so idk why they give them more screen time other than building up something.
