I had to rewatch and I think it's the lighting and angles. When it's bright in most angles they put light on him, he looks older but when the light is softer and also almost dark, he looks younger. We technically don't even know if Takuya is legally adopted or is he "adopted" as in taken in, if he has other blood relatives that couldn't raise him. If the uncle (the he is staying with, when he ran away from Todo household) is related to Shinji or if he's the brother of Takuya's mom or dad and couldn't raise him properly when the parents passed. Stuff was just thrown in without full explanations or atleast for some of us to fully understand because I have more questions than answers LOL
