I feel sorry for Chompoo Nuch who had to live with all the confusion,
not knowing whether she should accept the kindness from her ex.
Even though what he did was betray her and go marry her sister.
(But I’m not rooting for her to be with Thana either,
because Thana was just as evasive. Even if he did it partly out of love.)

About the culprit, it wasn’t completely unexpected
(because while reading, I already felt like the characters were being too careless with this person),
but it was so satisfying that it turned out to be them.
If it had been someone else, it would’ve been disappointing.
As for the other culprit, it was more like “oh, it’s this person.”
Their level of grudge and motive made sense, but it felt like it only came up just now.

They started showing their twisted side only at that point—
or maybe Chatfah’s death was the trigger.
(Personally, I liked the culprit revealed earlier more.
They acted out of revenge too, but they chose the timing themselves,
carried out the plan themselves, did the threatening themselves.
When you read it, you could still understand why this person
was treated differently from the other siblings.
And this person was crazy enough to really do anything.)

All the problems that happened in the story
were partly caused by the ancestors, and partly by the girls themselves.
I’m still a bit annoyed that the matter between the culprit and the girls wasn’t cleared up.
Picha didn’t even get to talk with the culprit,
even though she was quite close to them.
But at that point, the story had to move into the conclusion already.

The ending of this story was rather kind.
It had a sort of moral lesson(?) with a Thai drama vibe.
At first I thought it would leave a cliffhanger that would make me scream,
but it didn’t end up like that.
Even the twists revealed at the end—

—were just kind of shocking, that’s all.
I closed the book feeling okay and at ease.
The ending was happy for everyone.
The three girls escaped from the horrible things and found love.
The people around them went on with their lives.
(Though I still wonder how they’d clear things about Sarai
when the perpetrator was already lying dead at the bottom of the ravine.)
And honestly, Chompoo’s actions weren’t all that lovely,
but her life still ended with marriage.

I liked how the mysteries and secrets were laid out,
because when you finish reading
and go back to the first page,
the feeling definitely wouldn’t be the same as the first read.
There were so many twists and secrets,
but the author arranged them in a way that wasn’t confusing.
They didn’t cram everything to reveal only at the end,
but slowly released them bit by bit—
from the sibling conflicts to the people around them.

And every division of parts or appearance of characters had a reason.
Why did Arch appear late? Why did Thana seem like he knew something?
Why did Keum have to be the first male lead introduced, etc.?
They dropped a mystery here and there, saved it for later,
and then we’d go, “Ahhh, so that’s what this was about!” 🤔

i still feel like parn can walk. she wanted to be an actress after all so maybe she actually pretended when she was pushed down the stairs
