Wanted to like it but too many issues

Fun plot. I liked the country-side setting and the actresses were good together. BIG issue though: consent!!! There were several unconsensual moments. Si didn't seem to mind but that doesn't make it okay! ALSO

(MAJOR SPOILER)

there was a completely unnecessary character death. There was literally no reason for it and it added nothing to the story. Neither did the last two episodes. Just annoying and toxic. Fun watch if you ignore all of that.

Mid

The plot was SO dumb and 90% of the conflicts could be avoided if they talked like normal human beings. It was just really dumb overall. I still enjoyed watching it but I lost ALL interest by the end. The acting was...okay. and so was the chemistry. My favorite character was Lom because she was hot and cool lmao.

A Series about Mental health, Sickness, and Trauma

I thought it was very clear what the plot was about from the trailer but the misconceptions about this show....oh my god. I couldn't never imagine GMMTV airing something like that, like that's crazy. It was a very good show about mental health, sickness, and trauma. I don't think it was done VERY well but I liked it regardless. It was a good attempt. PerthSanta did a phenomenal job as Pobmek and Sun/Solar. Santa especially surprised me because I could easily tell when he was playing Sun vs. Solar. He really showed how good of an actor he is in this series. I liked how Pobmek's struggles with taking care of sun was portrayed and how much of a mental toll it took on him to take care of his sick partner. The flashbacks to their university days were SO cute and some of my favorite scenes for sure. Perth and Santa's chemistry is really unmatched in GMMTV.

Didn't live up to expectations

Why was the pilot trailer better than the actual show? It got me too excited and the real drama didn't live up to it. I'll admit that I'm not usually into these types of plot, I'm more into cute wholesome slowburn types, but somehow I still enjoyed it. It was obvious they were trying to ride off the hype that "Only Friends" got and just made a GL version. I think if they marketed it differently, the reception would've been a lot better. Everyone was expecting a really messy plot where everyone was hooking up with each other and a much crazier development of their stories but they mostly stuck to the OG pairs and nothing crazy happened plot wise. Nevertheless, I enjoyed watching it a lot. I loved Shasha and Gorya's story, although I think MilkLove's dynamic fits cutesy plots way better. I wasn't the biggest fan of Prim and Bambi's story although I enjoyed all NamtanFilm love scenes. Bambi was definitely my favorite character, Gorya being a close second. She was really interesting and I loved the drama. Min and Preaw were really boring. I feel like we should be over the "straight" girl falling for a lesbian and refusing to come out and treat her right plot line. I also don't like how they kept referring to her as straight when she was clearly just bisexual and literally dating a girl. A lot of things pissed me off about this show. The ending also sucked. It felt like they just gave up. I had so many hopes for this series and felt really disappointed.

Also everyone hated the intro song but I loved it IDC!!

One word: ANNOYING

Overall really enjoyable but god damn Hiroko was so frustrating to watch. How dense is she? It was also annoying that she refused to believe that Ayaka was a lesbian because she was cute and feminine.. Like she was all up on her and basically confessed her feelings yet Hiroko was like "wow, straight girls sure are crazy". Hiroko please. I loved how supportive everyone on the office was and I especially loved Yuya. Even it it was frustrating to watch, I actually really enjoyed it and I'm definitely planning on watching season 2.

Enjoyable but Nothing Special

I'll admit I'm weak to high school/university dramas that are mid. They're just so comforting and easy to watch. "Monster Next Door" was exactly that. It wasn't amazing or anything but very cute and fun. My favorite was just watching Diew. He is SO cute and definitely autistic. Like he was SUPER introverted, always had his headphones on, no eye contact, obsessed with turtles, picky eater, specific routines everyday, and the list just goes on. Very cute and relatable honestly. Ignoring everything going on with Big and Park right now because I watched this before all that, I did think they had pretty good chemistry and the acting was good. Overall enjoyable show but nothing special.

kinda mid but cute

My dream of a cute FirstKhaotung series finally came true . This drama wasn't amazing but it was enjoyable. It wouldn't be a FirstKhaotung series if it didn't get really sad at some point. I did sob at some point but overall it was a more chill cute drama that you could put on to enjoy without putting too much thought into it. The cats were definitely my favorite part. Watching Satang with the Vet guy made me secretly hope he could explore other partnerships and now I feel like I lowkey jinxed it. Very cute show but nothing crazy.

Don't waste your time

JoongDunk never fail to disappoint me. I don't know why I try anymore. The blame isn't on the two though, whoever wrote this story and directed it deserves the most critique. I had slightly above average expectations for "Dare You to Death" and I can't believe it didn't even reach that. The chemistry was good but it's most due to Joong. Dunk looked uncomfortable every time they kissed, whether that's because of decisions he made for his character or if he's really not into it is up for debate, but either way, it was uncomfortable to watch. It really frustrated me. I did really like Joong's acting though. Besides that, The mystery was horribly written and the direction they took with intertwining the romance and the graphic violence shown every other scene was extremely jarring. The only good thing from this show was the few scenes that AouBoom showed up in. Don't waste your time.

Fun watch but didn't impress me

I had low expectations from SeaKeen after "Only Boo" but this pleasantly surprised me. Their acting improved immensely, especially Sea. The plot reminded me of Bad Buddy at first but it quickly changed directions from that into an interesting time travel story. Jerome and Jinn were super adorable and I loved them a lot but I wasn't sold on SeaKeen's chemistry at all. They still seem a bit awkward in many scenes. Van and Farm's Story was the first time I was both extremely invested in a side couples story yet didn't want them together at the same time. I don't like that they glossed over what Van did so easily. They needed MUCH more development. They were played by Java and Surf, upcoming GMMTV actors and couple. Their acting was phenomenal, especially Java. He's so talented. Their chemistry was also really great together. I can't wait to see more from those two. The plot was kinda mid but overall, it was a good show.

One of the Best and Most Iconic Thai Dramas

Although many dramas that are arguably better in many aspects have come out after Bad Buddy, this series still stands as one of the best and most iconic Thai dramas. This was the first Thai drama I watched during that era in which I really felt a strong chemistry between the leads. Ohm and Nanon absolutely killed it. Their acting was spectacular, especially Nanons. Every scene felt so natural and realistic with him. The plot was super fun and their rivalry never got boring. They seamlessly transitioned into their dating era, without a complete personality/relationship dynamic change, which is the #1 thing that ruins many enemies to lovers stories for me. I loved the side couple, TOTALLY NOT BIASED HERE but MilkLove were EVERYTHING to me as InkPa. They were just so cute and I loved Ink's character specifically and her friendship with both Pat and Pran. I wish they did more with InkPa though. I felt like their story needed more development and I wish we could've seen more of them.

I also really appreciated how they addressed certain things like calling one of the guys in a gay relationship the "wife" and how that makes no sense and is clinging onto heteronormativity. Watching BL sometimes gets you too numb to hearing things like that and I was pleasantly surprised to see them addressing it.

The one thing that doesn't stand up to time is definitely the cinematography and production quality. It LOOKS like it's from 2021. Bad Buddy had its share of both funny goofy moments as well as serious heavy moments. I laughed and cried with the characters and I felt so connected with all of them. This is a MUST WATCH Thai drama.

Sweet and Nostalgic; Like a Warm Hug

THE coming of age drama. So sweet and nostalgic. Watching this series felt like a warm hug. The cinematography was the star of the show. The young actors did an amazing job. Almond was so cute and I loved KenPauls storyline in this one after the mess we got in "Boys in Love". I really needed a drama like this this year. Really great show overall.

A Masterpiece

Waited a long time for this series and I KNEW it'd be a masterpiece. Gemini and Fourth have never disappointed me. I was unsure about the religious elements but it turned out really good. It was very short and made great use of every episode. I felt so many emotions watching this drama. I've never been so anxious watching a show like this, it was like watching a horror movie.

(spoilers)

I never doubted from the beginning that it was going to have a happy ending (contrary to what TikTok believed). It NEEDED a happy ending to be good. There are too many shows like this with a sad ending. It would be too boring and another one added to a long list of many. The happy ending is what made this drama a masterpiece and what made it stand out from others of this same genre. Gemini and Fourth's acting was seriously amazing and they've both improved so much. I was not expecting the chemistry they delivered either. A literal masterpiece.

Best GMMTV GL

I didn't think I was gonna love this drama as much as I did. I'm OBSESSED. JanJingjing blew it out of the park with this one. Everything was done so well with this series. The conflicts, the plot, the character development, the acting, the chemistry, EVERYTHING. One of my favorite GLs of all time and one of GMMTV's best dramas to date. I can't wait for the special episodes!

Perfect till the end

I watched the first episode and I didn't like it. I kept watching because it was really well made budget and production wise and Domundi has never let me down and I'm glad I trusted them because "Love Upon a Time" might be one of the best BLs of 2026. I ended up loving the character of Nakhun/Klao as well as JJ himself even though I was annoyed with him at the beginning. I fully got onboard the LatteKim ship. Their story was very well written, just like the rest of the show. Amazing acting, especially from Net. The chemistry was CRAZY. A lot of Thai dramas tend to rush the ending but "LUAT's" best episode was the last one. It was such a satisfying ending to wrap up the story. So amazing. 10/10.

Also side note, absolutely fell in love with Kim. He's so beautiful (and talented obvi). Definitely added to the experience of watching this series lol.

Extremely well made and polished GL

I'm a sucker for a good enemies to lovers and body swap plots are always so fun. Pam and Arhoung are great actresses and they were so insanely cute together. They did so well acting as different characters when they swapped bodies. Very impressive. Chemistry was great as well and so was the production quality of this drama. I want to kiss the stylist that worked on this show because all the outfits were phenomenal. SO cute. The side couple, Saifon and Wanmai....omg, I'm blushing just thinking about them lol. I might have liked them more than the main couple if the main couple wasn't SO amazing as well. Their story was perfect. I have nothing to complain about. This was a perfect GL.
