I think the main problem is that most fans (me included) had very different expectations. Is it realistic that people cheat? Sure, but realism is not what we usually expect from a BL series. We come for the fluffy heart-warming feelings and the happy end. That's what we signed up for. And this series delivers the exact opposite.
