I really like the 2 male leads because they act really well...but is it me, or is Lee Yeon Hee's acting really lacking? I don't feel very much for her character, and kind of wish her emotions were more real, instead of fake. I really liked the child version of her character...
I was scrolling to see if someone is rooting for this drama or suggesting this drama I needed to check on people's reaction to this drama, but instead all I found are spoilers which AREN'T marked as a spoiler -_-
At the beginning of the 21st century, amnesia was the perfect trend. Go to old classics and watch all amnesia…
I haven't watched those dramas you mentioned but the best use of amnesia for me was in Time of Dog and Wolf and Autumns Concerto. They were necessary to drive the plot forwards... Most of the time/nowadays amnesia is used for Makjang and to buy some time before moving on with the plot. Either ways I facefloor when I see the word Amnesia anywhere near a drama.
How about the amnesia part on Falling for Innocence (if you can call it that one)? It's the best amnesia scene ever, if you have watched the drama you know what I'm talking about. Hehe. I know it's been weeks since its last ep aired, but just can't stop talking about it, and can't even bring myself to watch new dramas. That's how awesome it is!! :)
Trot Lovers - I couldn't agree more, I stopped watching the moment that amnesia bomb was dropped into the screen.
Fated to Love You - I think the amnesia part wasn't that bad, it didn't even lasted for an episode if I remember it correctly making it bearable to me, and yes you're right, at least this one isn't those amnesias that just appeared out of thin air, the drama built it up in some ways.
I Hear Your Voice - I don't remember being outrageous about the amnesia part since Lee Song Juk's cuteness was all over the screen (I think there really is an exception for everything!!)
No matter how cliche/overused amnesia is, I can't help but love it as a plot device even if it really gets annoying lol my 1st ever encounter of this would be in "Meteor Garden 2" and I produced rivers of tears because of it! I actually forgave them for including this plot given that it's the mother of all idol dramas lol good thing the Japanese version learned from it and didn't stretch it out as the main plot. The same goes with the unofficial Chinese adaptation (Let's Go Watch Meteor Shower and its sequel). I was going to comment that you missed "Autumn's Concerto" but I already saw your comment that you're going to include it in the 2nd part so yay! I think it's one of the best uses of the amnesia storyline. If you haven't heard/seen the Chinese movie "First Time", I recommend it because it had amnesia as a plot device but it was used in such a beautiful/different way :) As a fan of the TW version of "Fated to Love You", I got surprised that the K-adaptation had an amnesia plot? lol anyway sorry for having so much to say but I really love this article! Keep it up :D P.S. Happy to know that you're planning to watch "Meteor Garden" because Jerry, Vic, and Vanness are my loves haha!

I saw Go Doo Shin's powerhouse performance in If Tomorrow Comes a few weeks ago & I was blown away. I've never…
But that's the thing, NKDA. I never hated her. I was appalled by her behaviour, but I never hated her. I was rooting for her because she wasn't necessarily a bad person. Her heart was always in the right place. She was just a bit insensitive to those around her, esp her husband, and too focused on getting ahead. She wasn't any different or worse than the arrogant, overbearing male leads that populate dramaland. While others complain about them, I never do, unless they're truly rotten to core (most of the time they're not). I always root for them to become more sensitive, loving people, so it was no different with Go Doo Shin's character in If Tomorrow Comes. I thought she was amazing, how she took care of business & would kick your ass if you crossed her. lol I loved her growth. She become everything I knew she could & would. Great character! Definitely one of my favourite female roles.
What cat fight are you referring to though? I can't remember all of them.
