I haven't watched past the second episode, but I'm now inclined to watch more of it. It's too bad that Kim Min Jong doesn't get a lot of screen time, he's also my favourite character in the drama, along with Lee Ki Kwang's character. I wasn't expecting all that much from Mrs. Cop, but all the topics the drama addresses draws me in, and I plan to catch up when I have plenty of time. Great article! :)

i watched the first ep and dropped it, and after reading your article i guess i have no intention to pick it up :P

I'm loving this drama, and I don't have any complaints about the writing, story or character developments lol - I started it because it's a police drama and I LOVE those kinds of shows - my favorite thing about this one is the fact that I feel like I'm watching REAL cops do their job! I commend the writer for that! So many cop type dramas can seem real fake (even if they are interesting) but this one is the real deal to me. (OCN type work without the darkness lol)

I have rarely seen more idiotic police procedures in a show than this one. I am constantly throwing up my hands in disbelief at the unbelievable stupidity written into this show. From the very first, when she left her partner alone to cuff a serial killer while she sat down to REST? and did not call in everyone to assist in the apprehension of such a dangerous criminal...who does that? During the apprehension of a known serial killer you leave someone alone? Where in any police show do you see that? That is just basic police procedure! The second the perp is apprehended all available hands always converge because otherwise COPS DIE! The most dangerous time is during apprehension. Who doesn't know this? And this was supposedly a planned and coordinated trap...where were everyone's communicators? Everyone and their dog should have converged on that site instantly as soon as he announced he had the guy.

And showing up at that motel for god know what reason, dragging along a CHILD to a place she knew a serial killer was at...and where did that part of the story disappear to? What disciplinary action was taken when her actions resulted in the death of a child? Can you imagine the headlines if a cop anywhere did what she did? What about that child's father? Just disappeared? That is 2 deaths right there from stupid actions a rookie MIGHT make, but most certainly not a seasoned detective who is head of a unit of supposed elite detectives.

And small things...like the team is in the car on the way to an incident, Do Young pull out her hand gun, POINTS IT DIRECTLY AT THE HEAD OF THE PERSON IN THE FRONT SEAT to see if it's loaded. WTH!!! Every single episode is filled with this kind of thing. And don't even get me started on the chief who is playing patty cake with our resident bad guy....and Mrs Cop is more than aware of that too. Ugh. Holes....you can drive the Kdrama White Truck of Death through the gaping holes in this thing.

There are tons more, but I'm just getting angrier and more frustrated. It's a great cast...love them all...but the writing! smh.

ive liked a lot of drama specials but dont think ive loved one this much before. this drama was seriously amazing I could watch it 50 times and still think its just as beautiful and touching.

I swear it wouldn't be a drama special if the ending wasn't open ended, ambiguous and/or very vague. And although this was the same, this drama was heavily leaning towards a happily ever after for these 2. they were so connected and at the end she took off her wedding ring and her dead husbands watch and was wearing woo ki's watch =)

So heart warming! it gave me a nice break in the middle of my gloomy life! I actually wanted to rate it with 9 but it's a special & was missing some elements so I gave it 8 but if anyone checks my list...they'll realize that this is a real high score for me!

I thought the open ending was the best possible way to end this because this was never about the romance. I loved how they didn't really label Nara and Ugi's relationship and left it for us to interpret.

Their bond here transcended labels--what we had were two grieving people who found comfort in each other and their shared experience. I loved the purity and simplicity of that.

That's incredibly refreshing.

amidst the rain..there was a warmth!! really sweet.. and though i am not a huge fan of an open ending..i don't think there could have been a better one for this!

Yeeeesss , I'm waiting for one of them to shoot a criminal too !!! It would be the trigger for the development of one of them and of course would be very shocking too!!

I am watching \o/ I saw some gifs of episode 10 , scenes between Min Yeong and Do Jin Woo and I found them really cute. I'm really excited to see those scenes :D and I'm looking foward for her development.

Ahhh, I got mad at her there too. And I understand her point as well. What I was disappointed in her for was that she is a police officer, she should have been able to handle something like that on her own. In this entire shoe, I am yet to see one of them shoot a criminal. Only Captain Choi did it and it wasnt because she wanted to do it either. I know that they shouldnt be trigger happy but it is grating on my nerves now. But dont worry, it gets better. ♥ Keep watching! :DD

Great article , i've noticed this alot too at times , in certain cases it doesn't bother me , ( forceful kisses and such but their are limits course) but i noticed in-laws/parents and employers in these dramas do it pretty often too and that always bothered me. i was actually watch a drama a couple days ago thinking about this very thing and how i always wanna hit those characters back when it happens cause it annoys me so its amusing seeing this not but a couple days later.
