I can't understand the position of the male lead, I mean wth is he doing with her? manipulating? i can't understand really. Can someone explain to me what is he doing? He looks caring about her and even being worried but sometimes he looks distant and like he doesn't give a f
only the first season was good, s2 and s3 were a full of nonsense. they just needed a way to give non kdrama enjoyer something to watch and make money on it. I totally refuse to call this product a K-drama,
This drama is honestly just boring. From how it was promoted, I expected something way more serious and engaging… but after watching four episodes, it feels flat and underwhelming. The main character literally forgets someone died at times, which just breaks any emotional weight the story could have had. Maybe watching this right after Mercy for None was a terrible idea, because the difference in tone and quality is huge.
The action scenes feel childish and silly, like they’re trying way too hard to be fun but end up just looking dumb. I genuinely don’t understand how this got greenlit for 16 episodes. And it’s not even funny…….it tries, but the humor just doesn’t land. Definitely not what I was hoping for.
The plot had more holes than a fishing net. No real backstory for key characters, zero logic behind major events (arsenic… that takes over a decade to kick in?), and emotional moments that felt completely unearned.
The romance came out of nowhere, the villain was laughably cliché, and the female lead? Somehow managed to be helpless for twelve straight years.
And don’t get me started on the weird pseudo-incest vibes or the random fantasy elements dropped in with no explanation. It felt like the writers were making things up episode by episode … and not in a good way.
This wasn’t just rushed. It was chaos in a costume drama.
