Antivirus (i recommend bitdefender total security-it also has antitracking features for browsers)+adblocker+popup blocker and you are safe-for pc/dont open dramacool if you dont have these installed because as you said you might get a virus, when i press play for a certain server popup blocker stops those scam links and if there is something stronger bitdef will block, although i am watching everyday for some time it didnt get through popup blocker and bitdef didnt receive threat signals, there were some times a few months ago when i didnt had popup activated and bitdef blocked those threats. So if you have these installed there shouldnt be problems. Or if you want to watch on streaming sites like viki, netflix, etc and you are in another area with no acces for these sites with a good vpn you should be able to watch, especially if the vpn server you are accessing hasnt been used by other users. If you want to make an account on those sites make it with that vpn server you are using, so all info should be tied with this server, also use a clean browser with data deleted. Some sites can also track you through date from your pc so if all the solutions above dont work you can try to change it for the timezone you are accessing .
❗❗❗ Another advice for all people to make some general settings like: in browser, blocking third party cookies-these are tracking cookies and can track you even when you are leaving the sites, permanent access denied for camera, microphone and if you want location; if you have a web camera try to cover it when you re not using it, for wifi routers try to have at least wpa2 psk security with aes or if you have a new model try wpa3, change the default password with longer and random letters, numbers, special characters, a good password can be around 20 characters, if you are saying that a 8 long pass is enough i have bad news- with a powerful device it has been cracked even in a minute. Watch out for dns hijacking where you are redirected to fake websites, even if you are typing the correct adress especially when you are entering sensitive informations try to check the sites info, if you are using a credit card for online usage try to have a special one for this, if your data are stolen you wont lose so much funds, or top up a little on that card. I usually use revolut with a virtual card and disposable card where after i use one time it gets destroyed and a new one will generate, pretty awesome feature, and best part its not tied with you name , it has the name - online shopping so when you are asked to enter card name you can just fill this. With this card you can enter whatever fishy, scam site you want. Also dont use your main phone where you have bank account informations, etc to navigate on any suspicious sites.
