I can understand if they have issues with pacing, but you can't blame pacing issues on the fl. If you do then would have to blame the ml as well.

The writing is so good. Every character is 3 dimensional, all have qualities but all have flaws that make it so compelling to watch. The fact that fl and ml understand each other but are forced to be enemies is such an interesting dynamic.

It is still seen as important for bragging rights etc even if only at the surface level. Most of the audience and especially fans dont care to look what goes on beneath the surface.
The investors and other insiders know the real performance and value of a drama and of actors so they dont really get fool by that index.
I was hoping so too for this drama but it is hard. There is still a chance through especially if a major plot twist or something happening that goes viral, or if douban ratings come out and it is high. Both have a chance to draw in more viewers.

When NH tried to killed her, he was the one doing the killing so when he kept getting hurt by his own weapons. Its very easy to deduce that he has to save her no matter what.
When lsl saves her, someone else was doing the killing. So to her, he is just a hero that saves people.

Infact this drama is doing very similar numbers to that drama at the moment before the sudden rise in heat of that drama.
The heat index is not what it use to be. There is so much manipulation going on, you dont know what you looking at is real or fake.
It is actually very easy to get 10k. with money. You can buy your way to a "hit drama" these days regardless of anything else.
