It's probably just me but I feel like Ian is doing too much, like yes you can talk to him but punching him? And I felt like he was boasting when he said to Wang Zhan that Tang Du Zhi said to care of him (Wang Zhan), plus trying to it get him out of Tang Du Zhi's sight quickly. It was annoying. I know you like him but you taking care of him like this won't make him like you like him. Plus no scenes from the second couple. Neither couple is moving forward, just my opinion.

You also gotta remember that the main plot isn't about romance, it's on the side. Plus like someone else said in here that people still view them as teacher and student. It would've kinda weird if suddenly people see them as bf and gf when he still goes to that school.
