Outstanding, marvellous, really engaging and sympathizing style of directing.

In addition, I don’t think I’ve ever warmed up to characters so quickly like I did here. The chemistry of all the leads was really good.

Even though the focus changed twice, my heart was always moved. I also started liking actors and actresses that I never did like before.

Although there were some cliches, they did manage to turn into surprising events.

The only downturn for me was the villains. Their part was so overdone. (Maybe it was 2012’s style.)
The foreigner’s acting was unpleasant, otherwise the main actors’ acting was 100/10! For example, Ha Ji Won’s acting has totally won me over for her portrayal of the lovely Kim Hang Ah.

Anyways, I tend to stay away from fiction, but this one was too good to let go. Really good. It even gets really emotional. I loved it.

I thought of dropping it before I even finished watching the first episode..

..like many who tried watching this drama.

But there were people who said really good things about it that it seemed like my type of drama.
And the cast was too good for me to drop the drama.

I decided that I was not in the mood and left it aside.
Some time later, I read a teeny tiny spoiler that sparked my interest
(It was the best spoiler ever. I even misunderstood it).
My curiosity got me through the first episode and that was it. (ok i wont lie, my curiosity got me through the first two episodes) After them I really wanted to see how the story would unfold.

The drama was very slow but the episodes flowed by very fast i didn’t feel them.
Han Seo Woo is a character that I wanna hug so tight.
And Jung Hae In, once again, wins as the best melodrama-romance actor with his honey-dripping like acting.

It was the best one-sided crush I’ve ever seen. I really dislike them usually.

The world flowed around them and it was very interesting . The classical music that flowed was a bonus.
I realise I used the word flow a lot. Because that’s how it was.

It shows us the story of characters going through some kind of pain. And uniquely portrays it.

I am so glad I read that tiny spoiler because everything made sense as I watched.
I wasn’t confused at all.
(The tiny spoiler was something like: 'she helps him find his first love'.)

The moral of the drama is beyond the confusing stuff. It is in the little details, in every interaction. That is where the 'healing' happens.

I haven’t seen a drama this thoroughly perfect in every aspect since a long time

Heartwarming, so funny, lovely, relatable, etc.
It was really great; I haven’t skipped, or fast forwarded anything. I learned about business. It inspired me to work hard.
I related to so many things in it on a very personal level.
I laughed hard. I enjoyed the cinematography a lot. It was thoroughly perfect. It got me, but not that deep, and that’s the only missing thing. Every character was good, events were exciting
I was touched by the pang of sadness and confession of truth.
Not to mention the realistic and beautiful romance.

And something very important about the drama is that I couldn’t predict it… the storytelling and drama both were new of their kind and refreshing.
It is the modernity I am looking for; the proper use of technology; adequate and not exaggerated.

Unexpectedly fun. Cool, clever, charming, and romantic!

With absolutely no intention to watch it, I opened the first episode because of a badly photoshopped photo,

But my first impression was; wow this is really cool! The lines are clever!! I really enjoyed some of them so much!! The romance looked promising and I was digging it!
and somehow I managed to squeeze 3 eps late into that same night!

Each character was somehow really charming! Kim So Yeon is an actress that I like. The ML kinda looks like Kim Young Kwang.. I don’t know! XD Also I didn’t like the 2ml actor when I saw him in queen seon deok, but he is SO COOL in here. Like he’s got some SERIOUS CHARM.

I miss simple and good dramas like this one. The drama had a nostalgic feel. It’s not superb, but I like how dramas used to have flaws

It had a fun Sports/ Medical (thankfully not so medical) theme.

And at some point I thought I wouldn’t even mind a SLS, but the romance of the ml wins! even though so one sided at first I LOVE it. It was a heart pounding romance. Park Ji Heon was certainly a lovely puppy. And I loved his smile.

The OST had that old fun feel, that I felt vibrate in my heart. It lived in my head for a while. I loved how it felt truly tailored for the drama

And I wanted to rewatch it so I did, and I love that I am seeing the flow of things properly. I kept repeating and it kept growing on me. And the drama gives motivation and had a knack to make me feel good with its upbeat nature.

The second leads and other characters have interesting stories that were worth it as well. The friendship was so amazing. It was unexpectedly fun and easy to watch for everyone in it.

The show is exciting from the very beginning till the end.

The fact that I can watch 10 episodes continuously WITHOUT feeling the need or being able to skip is itself saying a lot. And I think I can do it again. (Even though when I finished it, I said to myself "If I've ever gone crazy and thought of rewatching it,...")

At some point came one of my favourite actors of all time on screen, and this guy’s stance is no joke. From that point on the show cruelly stole my heart.

I couldn’t stop watching because of my hopeful pipe dreams. And the great drama threw my heart back and forth.

Strangely, I didn’t hate the villains, they were understandable. But I sometimes hated the main characters. They were the ones causing each other pain!

The confrontations between the characters were daunting. My emotions were overflowing when truths came out

I was engrossed in every part of it. It was full of ups and downs. It was breathtaking.

I thought that I’ve been there several times and that I can handle it and stand strong…

And I cannot say enough about the state the drama left me in…(writing it down took 2,189 words)

The OST’s amazingness goes without saying

The title should not draw you out

(the drama has nothing to do with baseball details but I have a simple explanation of the title at the end)

From the first episode, it was already Captivating me. The good feels took a lot of stress out.

The music, the Light tone, the Friendly tone, the Closeness and Loyalty.
I love how very Casual, Normal, Plain, and Easy-going it is!

Not an ounce of cheesiness. But mature, sensible, and beautiful relation. It’s free of stupidity.

Not the cliche type. It’s about a deep meaningful relationship.
Even though it seems like the standard trope at first glance, but it has more to it than what the eyes see. Unlike the usual friend to lover happening suddenly or accidentally this is Natural.

The mature and sensible and considerate method of approaching the border surprised me. It’s frustrating a bit that it takes very long but that’s the beauty of it.
The FL’s sincere smile was beautiful. I fell in love with the ML’s light-toned friendly personally. They had great chemistry. It melts my heart.

The OST keeps playing in my head, and it is represents the drama so well.

The drama was never meaningless. everything was done well and meaningfully. All relationships felt real. Some moments also hit deep.
GOLDEN drama. One of the best of the best.
To me, this is the ultimate happy relation drama.

After watching it, I looked up the meaning of the title and understanding this made me feel closer to the drama I loved:

I don’t know baseball well, but ...
- A baseball game consists of 9 innings (baseball rounds for each team). So the 9th inning is the last round of the game.
- Every team is allowed 2 ‘outs’ (like chances) and 3 ‘outs' means the team's turn is over.
- In the title '9 End 2 Outs 'or better said: '2 outs in the 9th inning', means that they have one ‘out' left before having their turn taken away in the last round of the whole game.
And it is up to you to make the analogy with the relations in the drama.
I hope it makes sense.

It’s a drama that I wanna watch again to notice all the details I didn’t the first time and things I missed. I love it.
I just wish it was exactly one episode longer.

Beautiful, so beautiful.

This drama gave me life. I don’t know why it is unpopular..

Words won’t come out and there is so much to say... Starting from the first episode it is easy to see where things are going to end, but it is not easy to see how.
And it is a very interesting part.

The show has many tones, and they were all well done. The funny, the frustrating, the sad, the happy, the heart fluttering…

Sometimes it felt like things were going very quickly and sometimes very slowly. But then I wasn’t sure because I just kept watching the amusing ways the stories unfold.

There are many secrets and they reveal themselves in strange ways.

About some of the characters, I keep hating them then liking them, hating them then feeling sorry for them, hating them then understanding them, hating them then…, the vicious cycle keeps going on.
But for the most part I keep growing fond.

Relationships are so beautiful. Family, friendship, and love relationships. But with all this love comes sacrifice, pain, and suffering.

Every couple is my favorite couple in this show. Every time a new pairing appears they look good right away.

The acting was convincing. Every time I watched Uee in a drama, her acting didn’t appeal to me at all. But I would say that she did really really well here. I discourage anyone from avoiding the show because of such reason.

Choi Soo Jung is amaaaazing. All the elder actors were impressive.

The characters were great. Their voices and their words, I keep hearing them in my head when I am not watching. I smile like them, cry like them, and feel like them. As if they infiltrated my head and my heart, both.

There are some good OSTs but they don’t play often. But good BGM plays the whole time.

Usually, I rarely consider the possibility of rewatching a normal length drama. And almost never think about rewatching one this long. But I think I would love to rewatch this one. I want to relive it all, once again. It is one of my favourite family dramas.

I understand why it had high ratings when it aired.

The show is as beautiful as the poster. Go watch it!

It is such an honest drama that you can feel its sincerity. It made me cry. Kim Sun Ho’s acting really made me cry.

I started it not expecting much but got so much. It shows beautiful friendships and hardships. Even though people fight, they make up like old friends make up with each other.
It is a drama with beautiful people; everyone is lovely and friendly.
The second couple is the Best!
And the music is lovely too.
It is a slice of life drama that doesn't feel like a slice of life drama but still something to relate to and gives a feel of a slice of life drama...

A good Korean drama. A light romance with an appropriate amount of melodrama, with an ost suitable for a kdrama.

The couple suit each other so much. The roles suit them so well as characters. Casting is on point. I love them SO much. They look so lovely together. Best couple no question.

Chae Song Ah is relatable and cute. Park Joon Young is a super nice person with a shy and quiet demeanor, but a bright shy flower when it comes to love.

The cinematography is good without being overdone like most other new dramas.
The melodrama doesn’t hurt, and only leaves good feelings behind.

It is such a unique drama. One of those that you appreciate the meaningful moments between them more than any kisses. The comfort given to each other and the dialogues exchanged between them.
Good one. Good drama, South Korea.

One of the rawest, most honest, passionate romances I’ve seen.

Crude. Feels like open flesh
If feelings could kill I could’ve died.
It is so frustrating. And also, frustratingly good.
I cannot express enough.
I thought I wouldn’t feel this way watching a drama again. I thought it wasn’t possible to fall in love with another drama this way. The burning passion.

Burning, passionate, warm, frustrating, raw, expressive, heated love story.
It is anything but cliche.
It is incredible how the story is told. Realistic, yet intensively romantic.

I have stopped caring about the world for 10 continuous hours. And felt like I walked in spring’s breeze.

The story really could have gone bad if it wasn’t for the director (and writer). It could have been another slumping cliche.
I have respect for the director Ahn Pan Seok, and I can’t help but feel greedy and want him to cast the same cast and crew he does every time, especially Jung Hae In.
Yes, I hated some characters, but I loved the writer for including them. They’re all given almost equal importance.

I wish that in the future more directors and writers learn to capture our feelings the way they did; with an original story and captivating characters.

Parting with it is so hard and so difficult. I wanted a painful love story, and I got it.
This might feel like a cozy drama, but it is a devil of pain in disguise. Definitely not light.
I read what someone said in their review “this drama is so tiring to watch” and I 100% agree with that.

It's so memorable down to the lines.

I have written so much but nothing about the acting. That is because it was not...

IT DID NOT FEEL LIKE ACTING. It felt so real. So, so real. Really.
(and it gave me a hard time trying to believe that it’s not real and get over it).
It was like their eyes were speaking to you; pouring their emotions out. As if they weren’t the actors but they were the characters themselves. Everything felt so sincere. I’ve fallen for Jung Hae In's acting in SITR, but he was someone else here, but still with a big loving heart. His body language spoke louder than him.
Han Ji Min has a very special place with me now and I regret not appreciating her more seriously before this.
Joo Min Kyung is a show stealer!

They felt like real people, real families, real friends, real sisters, real fathers, real mothers, real parents, real grandparents, real children, real incidents, real problems, real world, yet it was just a melodrama.

I don’t understand the way many people say that this drama is similar to SITR …
Yes, if you look at the big picture they may seem similar. I would definitely recommend one if you liked the other.
But not if you look closely. They are both romances, that start in secret, about two people falling in love, and then trying to get accepted by their families. But in reality, the stories are so different. A whole different kind.

The music that many people criticize, it beautifully carried the show with passion. It was perfect.
I couldn’t get the drama out of my head and I had to listen to the ost but then…
I cried my heart out listening to the ost. I sobbed, when I didn't shed a tear while watching it. I was engulfed then.
It makes me go crazy, this drama.

I really like older dramas (from before 2013) much more but this drama makes me forget that I miss them.

A line that broke my Heart: “If I go after the thing that I want, will I get punished?”

Everything in this drama screams...for help

for comfort... in pain... in loneliness... in sadness... in desperation.

The aesthetics in this drama are no joke; both music and visuals. It's art.

I found their stories heartbreaking.

Though you watch the drama in sadness, you also watch it in hope.

The story is dark but the people are pretty clear and painfully nice and good.

A melodramas with some suspense.
It’s something that you like or you don’t.

She was his sunshine, his way of coming back to life, a way to correct his regrets.
He was her savior, her comfort, her light, her sunshine.
They were made for each other. They were the opposites of whom they used to be with.

The music is amazing. It felt like older melodramas.

The episodes flew by.

It's an overlooked drama. Well made story. Intense.

Bad Guy depicts all the reasons I am addicted to Korean dramas.

The main character is a bad guy whom I still cannot admit that he is a bad guy, thanks to the actor.

This drama is not simply just never boring. It is addicting!

Do not turn turn a blind eye to this melo you’ll regret it. But also you’ll avoid (miss out on) a serious heartache. hah!

This drama was put off last on my list till I saw Kim Nam Gil for the first time in Live Up to Your Name

He was the perfect guy for this act, I believe.

Whether you watch it for Kim Jae Wook, Kim Nam Gil, Jung So Min, Ha Ga In or whomever, they all shine; all the actors shine in the drama.
Although I started watching it with a biased view. I liked it with bias cuz of the cast, but not anymore.

I am usually not into revenge plots. I can’t relate or feel them and they bore me. But this is none of that…
It is the perfect revenge melodrama.

It gets exciting from the start and never gets dull. It is a perfect combination of drama and romance that was nothing cliche, everything about it is perfectly done in order to capture my attention from start to finish. and I never felt like I watched too much.

This is a piece of work, a masterpiece of engaging directing, acting, music and etc and the writing.
Ingeniously written dialogues.

The drama had quotes that are worth writing down. They were brilliant quotes and I wanna go back and note every one of them down.
Quotes that shook me.

And the star was obviously the acting of the lead actor, the subtleness of the expressions of the eyes body language, personality, fluidity, his eyes his eyes his eyes, (the look in them) was everything. He had it all. Every move, flicker, posture and gesture meant something. The act was put up perfectly without flaws. perfect to the point I can feel him. and it grew on me hard. His demeanor grew on me. his figure looks so sad. his hair adds to it.
someone even said “I never knew a guy's back view can also speak a thousand words.”
He was never Kim Nam Gil. Not for a moment. He was Shim Gun Wook 100% of the time. I never believed that he is acting or an actor that I know.

uaah Moon Jae In. Jae In... I didn’t give her enough credit. She is someone with greed. And although she is definitely not a perfect person but I loved her relation with the ML; how she always forgave him and understood him for some reason. She kept surprising me, unlike usual fl that stays upset for too long, she was an understanding, and an open person in terms of acceptance.

The second ml was not a simple second ml, he had very special presence and an important existence in the story.
ugh, I cannot speak enough of how the story was well written cuz thinking about it gets painful. Anyway all characters felt special and important.

The story I would describe as something that holds you by the neck
the BGM and OST were perfect. I cry listening to them.

The drama is truly epic! it is so great that the ending doesn't lessen from its value cuz its not the one you were hoping for (it only added to its pain though. Face palm because I read spoilers).
I loved the camera work. where you could see the roughness of their skins and therefore feel their suffering or luxury.

Only rewatch value is relatively low since I would be putting myself through torture if I watch it again. It’d be fun though.

I have seen a lot of melodramas, I have seen tragedies, and I have seen a share of sad characters, but this is (probably) the saddest (main) character that I have seen.
Even his name is sad, the names he call sound sad, his voice is sad, his backside is sad, every move he did was sad, his hair looked sad, his face looked sad. The drama should not have been called 나쁜 남자 (bad guy), it should have been called 불쌍한 남자, which means pitiful man.

If you ever felt like you wanted to watch a drama that would take you away and make you feel like your life/ world has no meaning, this is it.

What was I thinking when I though the guy on the poster doesn’t look good or promising. I need to smack my prejudiced thoughts.

I’m already not in my right mind. I would really appreciate an open ending in this situation.

This drama is very amusing in nature

The story is amusing and peculiar. It circles around the prestigious ‘Ha’ family and their antique customs and life lessons that I enjoyed so much. It was very amusing to see the manners they lived keeping up, and then how the rich and modern ‘Lee’ family tries to resemble (or rather copy XD) them to become reputable. And the whole story was accompanied with witty and subtle humour till the end. XD

The main leads clashed like that as well. It’s crazy how they complimented each other. Their personalities clash and fit in the most amusing ways.
And they moulded into each other like two puzzle pieces that perfectly match.
Their character development was insanely touching ToT..
But not just the main leads, but also for all of the characters.

The angst was sooooo beautiful. The chemistry was chemistrifying. It wasn't painful, but a beautiful and warm, warm, WARM warmth I kept feeling in my chest.

When I picked the drama, I barely had energy to let a drama consume me. However, its OST makes falling hard for it inevitable.
It was my second time watching the first half of the drama, and I think the first time I was lost in the story to notice so many things; like how they actually began to like each other from the very beginning. Everything was better this time!

My favourite thing was the main couple, but that’s that, and the other things were also remarkable.

The OST resonated with everything. It was perfect. But it’s shaking OST aside,
the writing and the lines deserve their own praise.
The lines are BEYOND shaking. The writing, the delivery, everything is fantastic. They are stuck in my head.

They were witty and felt like shooting arrows aimed directly at the heart!

It felt like every character was written as a different person, had its own unique personality. Not just the character that the actors bring on, but also the way the lines were written for each character.
What I mean is, in other dramas, sometimes it doesn’t feel like there is something distinguishing characters in their lines, it’s the acting that distinguishes the characters. But here it’s notable.

Camera directing was an art so delicately done. The way the camera kept moving and focusing made some awesome shots.
It was striking.

I am so in love with the pacing of the drama. Yes it is quite lengthy, but the pacing of events was just as it should be.
Every time I thought that a subplot may drag, it moves on, it proves me wrong again and it beautifully gets wrapped up every time.
Even though there were some tropes that we’ve seen before, they didn’t drag out subplots that didn’t need it, they moved on naturally, with creative writing and great acting.

Which gave a refreshing outlook and experience. It was one of the striking things about this drama.

This drama is so good at everything. I was going crazy watching it.
I enjoyed the little conversations and life lessons, it made me laugh a lot, and I cried because I was happy. The more I watched the more I found little reasons to love it more. I didn’t want to finish it. I wanted to take it really slow and enjoy every moment.

DON’T let the number of episodes chase you away.
It is a very easily watchable sageuk (historical k-drama) that you might love.

The character of the king was very fun and lovable unlike usual kings in other sageuks.
And Dong Yi is a very lovely person.
I love how she carried herself with such noble grace.
And you don’t know whether to sympathize with or hate the bad people.

It very enjoyable overall.
And it keeps you wanting to watch more. It doesn’t get dull.
You may want to skip the first five episodes if you’d like to jump straight into the plot. Don’t deem the drama worthy or unworthy based on the first five episodes skip them to get to the main plot.
A drama worth investing your time in.
It keeps getting more interesting.

Exciting, sympathetic and made me cry.
It knows how to frustrate the viewer then satisfy them.

Really romantic (innocent but lovely).
I got tired at some point during the dragging part, but it was all worth it.

Watching a real sageuk like Dong Yi put to shame 98.5% of the modern historicals and fusion sageuks.
It was a beautiful journey.

This drama represents a very interesting way to talk about your secrets, or start a trustful and truthful relationship.

The drama is funny when it tries to be funny and sentimental when it wants be. It is really beautiful. I love how it makes me feel.
It is a great feel good, light romance kdrama, with no extra drama/melodrama involved.

I love so many things in this show. The production, the coincidences, the level of understanding of each other the characters have come to. And so many other things. -oh and the trot music.
