It's not really a historical drama. But yeah, it was the best of its genre (fantasy?) and of the year, of course!
We can't place it in a specific era. And it doesn't relate pure facts or events. "The Red Sleeve" is an historical drama and this one (AoS) is a fantasy. But I really love this two kind of drama.

The promise (2016). But truthfully, I don't remember enjoying any daily drama in a long time. The revenge is quite satisfaying in this one (and rightfully so).
