Have you read the original novel of this drama? I read the original book this show is based on and I have to say it sticks to the book precisely. In the book, lots of plot, story line, exchanges between characters were done through texting. While it's easy to understand reading those in a book. I think both Dylan Wang and Bai Lu did great job of acting their part, unfortunately, I can tell by the review due to the misunderstanding of the story line and their characters, some may think they are not doing a good job. I hope my explanation helps. Also, this show is kind of slow because the whole story is about two of them playing this love guessing game.
This is also actual a bit of comic show, there are lots of jokes to make it feel not too slow if you get the jokes. Dylan did a great job (with his own voice) telling some very funning lines with his straight face. Please give it another chance and don't rush to judge on it since I do think this is a very funning and cute love drama.
I agree with you.. those who comment negative or give negative comment that's not review indeed just testimony and I hate those who compares that ML and FL dont have chemistry.. This is prove they just cannot move on from the previous actor.. I so love this drama and find it so refresh and interesting.. I love micro expression and subtle emotion from Dylan he can deliver it so good
First, the ML 's character was not a "hard" or "cold" CEO, he's still very young and someone still trying very hard to prove himself, especially in front of the seniors in the company who disagree with him all the time (in multiple scenes). I think one of main reason he wares the glasses is try to make himself look more mature. You may notice when he's alone or with close family members, he took off his glasses immediately. Secondly, from multiple conversions between FL and her girlfriends, you should know she only recently accepted her previous boyfriend after he continue pursuing her for more than 3 yrs - hinting she's not really into him, which is why she's not too sad after the breakup.
