This is for those who don't understand the fl's character.
She never had a childhood. Never had any friends or anything truly for herself. So even the smallest things excite her and make her happy. She is a fierce general on the battle filed but other times just a friendly kind soul. Overall he yan is just a child at heart.

And we have only seen 6 episodes so far. For those who want to see the general side of he yan you all need to wait a bit more.

She has a general personality on the battle field only . Off war she really is a bubbly girl. This is realistic.

In the novel there is no dispatching the troops plot. They never meet as adult generals. He yan has no interaction with Xiao jues father either. So there is no bad blood between them .
As for how Xiao jue found out, i will copy paste some one's reply from below. "Xiao Jue started investigating into HRF’s past after someone told him that the HRF back then was actually a woman. He gradually put the pieces in together starting from how Heyan told him that her birthday was in the spring equinox (same as HRF) and how she always told him that maybe she used to be a female general in her past life. And as for how he take it, his reaction was emotional. Xiao jue actually blamed himself for not identifying he yan sooner and not protecting her before. This happened after they got engaged. This scene is really good in the novel

Really? Why? Is it because they want 100% of the novel? We can't expect that can we . Look at other drama adaptations, they don't even include half the novel. Here they have done a pretty good job of being faithful to the novel except the obvious changes due to censorship and stuff. I like that they adapted even small things like her dog yellow fur/ermao
Cinematography seems a bit poor though but overall its okay

As a novel fan im actually satisfied with the adaptation. Yes There are changes here and there, but i like the changes too.
Acting is great and chemistry is chemistrying , so im happy 💗
