What an emotional roller coaster! The ending, whilst bittersweet, was beautiful.

The physical abuse of the little bird by the otherwise kindhearted leads is upsetting to watch. Whilst they have some character flaws, this one makes no sense whatsoever.

I thought it was LJH as well after watching the very first episode. The beach scene came right after the 'asylum' cell and it seemed as though the person in the cell was recalling that day. It's definitely a possibility.

The drama ends just as you're hoping it does.

I liked Commander Mu. He was brave, steady and intelligent.

The way they lined them up at the end like they were a band of super heroes about to save the world was beyond laughable.

Well there go 25,8 hours of my life that I will never get back. Although the drama had its good moments, it was still somewhat of a train wreck. The ending was extremely anti-climactic and rushed, leaving many questions unanswered. The conspirators who wreaked so much havoc perished in such a way that if we blinked we would have missed it. A sip of poison and that was it.

Most of us here are just as annoyed as you are. A death sentence for the two of them was definitely warranted a long time ago, and once they're done with their last hurrah, it had better be forthcoming.

It's an oft-used tactic to indicate the passage of time, with no consideration given to the fact that most of the actors look ridiculous, especially when the facial hair looks obviously fake.

Amazing how sacrificing family members for the so-called greater good of maintaining power and influence, is just a breeze for some of these people. I knew FHR would eventually be persuaded to participate in nefarious activity. It's a good thing, as her eventual (and inevitable) fall from grace, will pretty much guarantee that the FL becomes the Princess Consort.

I would be lying if I said that even this chopped down version is starting to feel too long.

Because Zhao'er is the one Prince An wants to ultimately take the throne. His father will most likely get the throne in the interim, but only because it will place Zhao'er, as his successor, next in line for it. If Zhao'er is out of the picture, then the rest of the brothers will have a shot at it.

What a horrid, wretched woman. You all know who I'm talking about. And the brothers are no less despicable. Their target, Zhao'er, on the other hand, has grown up to be a lovely and intelligent boy. At the end of ep 29, it's obvious that the petulant, grudge-bearing, and increasingly annoying LBY will not kill Zhao'er, but what was with knife slash? I noticed a little blood splatter but it was hard to tell whose it was. I suspect it's all part of a strategy to now protect Zhao'er, but we won't know for certain until the next episode. Unless of course, someone here has seen something in the upcoming previews and is willing to spill the beans.

Prince An is already known to be one who plays favourites as evidenced with the first heir. I believe that this particular grandson is favoured for a couple of reasons: (1) Prince An's deep affection for the child's mother, and (2) he most likely believes the prophecy that this child is somehow special and perhaps destined for the throne. As for Hua, it's doubtful he had any kind of close relationship with his grandfather (especially given his long absences). It seems that many parents in this drama favour one child/grandchild over the other(s). One of the ML's sons, for example, doesn't even know what his father looks like.

He received a confidential letter from Commander Mu saying he would do his best to help him win the throne if he released her.

If you're referring to the FL's surviving child, it was a boy, not a girl, at birth.

Although visually stunning, the film felt somewhat bland and melodramatic, even confusing at times. I did, however, get a better appreciation and understanding of it after watching the anime version and enjoyed it much more the second time around.
