As a Gong Hyo Jin fan, I was eagerly waiting for this show to air. Her last show was so so beautiful and the chemistry she had with Kang Ha Neul was unmatched. This show, however, has nothing to offer. Lee Min Ho’s character is so awkward to watch(and before anyone says “oh he’s supposed to be like that” No! He’s supposed to be an awkward character navigating the unfamiliar space but his acting is so off). The plot is below average and it pains me to see such a beautiful cast trapped in what’s beginning to look like the most disastrous show of the year.
I hope it gets better but… don’t think that’s going to happen. Domestic and MDL ratings are pretty accurate here if you ask me.

It’s never a film. Koreans won’t be writing petitions to cancel shows if it was just that: a film or show. They freaking cancelled a show because they felt it was not historically accurate, for crying out loud. This is how seriously they take whatever is shown on screen. Therefore, it’s only fair that we ask them no to project a certain country or culture without proper research. Careless comments are harmful and hurtful.

Hey, I'm from India and and I can tell you that these careless comments about India or Indians are hurtful. You can't sweep everything under the rug by saying "drop it if you don't like it". The fact that people say this is the reason these channels and writers take liberties and don't stop and think about the kind of content they are coming up with. The most they'll do is issue an apology, but even that happens rarely. I am glad that Indonesians are vocal about the this. This is what everyone should be doing. You have to tell them what the problem is or they'll never learn.

In all honesty, her character is my favourite and it makes me feel things. She’s living a hard life but she’s always smiling and even though her job as a makeup artist is challenging enough, she still maintains her YouTube channel. She’s the only one who is not crying about how hard her life is but is actually doing something to have a better future . And she doesn’t have people helping her or cheering her on. People might not agree with me when I say this but the major flaw in this drama is that everything and everyone revolves around PBG. I get he’s the lead and it’s his journey but the other characters should be given more space and role than to fangirl over PBG. Second male lead is super considerate of PBM, the female lead is his fan, a well known male designer is in love with him, etc etc. This needs to stop.

OMG, yes. She has such an interesting story but her screen time is very limited. And even when she’s around, it’s not her story we’re getting to see. Today’s episode was still a little better and I loved her interaction with second lead the most. She was so comfortable around him. And I also loved how she stood up for herself. So excited to see her character grow and show more sides<3
