Well explained, but the FL here couldn't even open up to her mother with full honesty , she couldn't open up to her fiance either.... So how could his fiance have helped to such a person. If she wasn't ever able to emotionally entrust herself to the fiance don't you think she took too much time to realise this and she was going to marry such person. Before going to US she was extraordinary and intelligent but writer made her dumb for 10 years while she was in US??

Her fiance immediately returned to Korea to makeup with her realising his mistake. He even supported her idea of cooking. He truly deserved her. It was FL who is unable to open up to anyone.

It's sad that female like FL don't appreciate such person and fiance wasted his time and effort for someone so undeserving.

It's just that the writer wanted FL and ML to end up together for the sake of script.

Which makes me wonder, that if 1 argument is enough for her to let go of her 10 year long relationship with fiance then how strong will her bond with ML be , provided that she has known him for 30 years.... Maybe 3 arguments later she will breakup. That's how fragile is the relationship she forms.
writers knows the dicey character of FL that's why he didn't dare let them be married in the finale. Cz god knows where she is going to finally settle.

Just bcz of an argument one day with the Fiance , she decided to end her years long relationship with him. She couldn't see that he was with her during her illness, rehabilitation .. trying to do whatever he can to bring her out of depression. It was she who refused any healing approach made by him even then he was with her trying all he could but FL was so self centric and busy playing pitiful card that she couldn't see her fiance's efforts. Those years and memories with him meant nothing to her just because he said something on a whim one day because he might be frustrated. It shows how lightly she took relationships all around her , like when she fell sick she didn't tell even her mother as if she is nothing, people around her mean nothing to her the only thing that matters is herself.

Different things are expected at different scores. Take for example 7.8/10 most (and not all) of the dramas with this score is not watchable.
8/10 is like okay , descent, dragging , boring at times etc... it's watchable
8.4/10 is like interesting plotlines, interesting characters, something that can capture your attention really watchable.
This drama doesn't deserve precisely that .4 which makes it stand out amongst others.
It's plain old nothing new boring bland . Like porridge, you eat it just because you are ill otherwise you would enjoy your favourite delicacy
