These are not my thoughts but growing up as an asian what I have observed around me.In an asian family if the parents are educated and a little resourceful then they treat both son and daughter equally, if they are poor with limited resources then they think of educating son , why because a son will stay with them and earn for them including his wife for their lifetime. Daughters leave their home after marriage and in such families they don't care if the bride is earning or not because son is responsible to provide for the family while daughters are expected to stay home take care of child and parents. There are no objections from the families where the wife is eligible and willing to work but in these countries where the majority of the workforce is male the womens are seen lewdly everywhere she goes and there are people who take advantage of women.what happens down the line is some manager or coworker having crush on your wife might take advantage of your wife's emotional state after 5-10 years of marriage when things cool down sexually between couples. And before you know it wife might be jumping and humping on someone's lap in a hotel room or on a business trip.
