Title The Inextricable Destiny Spoiler
Let me get this straight, our leading lady, Jiu Ling, is a psychotic female clown. She poisons horses as a prank, robs and assaults others at will, and otherwise acts like she hasn't been toilet trained. Despite this, she manages to win the heart of our leading man Rong Yu, the crown prince, and a foreign prince. Regardless of how nice Rong Yu is to her, Jiu Ling finds fault with everything he does and she screams and cries to get their engagement annulled. However she pulls a complete 180 after the poison she feeds her fiancée gives him brain damage. She is now firmly #TeamRongYu. Even still, instead of owning up to the crime and taking responsibility for the man she's crippled, her family head south and ignore the engagement to the Rong family, because marrying Jiu Ling to a "fool" would bring shame on the He family. So much for the virtuous and loyal He family lmao. It's at this point I have to put the drama down. This is our protagonist? This is their romance? Yikes.

You're telling me I'm going to have to watch Cui Xi reconcile and become friends with a woman who stole her man, spent their fortune, and colluded with outsiders to ruin the clan she schemed so desperately to enter? The clan her son is the heir to? I'm only nine episodes in, but even if you believe Cui Xi has done wrong at this point, can anyone say one thing Bao Qin has done right?

Title Secret of Three Kingdoms Spoiler
I hate Fu Shou. Her role so far seems to be that of a woman dedicated exclusively to emotionally blackmailing her husband's brother. She might be your favorite character, but to me there's something unacceptably gross about gaslight-gatekeep-girlbossing your way into your brother-in-law's bed. Liu Ping has more chemistry with Sima Yi or even Cao Pi than he does with Fu Shou.

I found this show more frustrating than tragic. That said, I have to give thanks to Viki. Seeing this show tagged as "romantic comedy" on their platform is probably the funniest thing I've seen in months

Title Blooming Days Spoiler
how does it end? is worth it or a waste of time? i do not mind spoilers...
It ends with the "villains" of the show defeated and the ML and FL happy together. However, the time skips and editing make the ending feel abrupt and unsatisfying. If you like harem dramas and political intrigue it might be worth it, but there are certainly better dramas out there.

Title Blooming Days Spoiler
If you like stories of abuse marketed as love, Blooming Days is the perfect show for you!

FL's life is ruined front to back. Her marriage is blocked and her parents are blackmailed into selling her to Prince An because ML wants to win favors from his father. She's framed during the bridal selection, stripped of her status, and her lover's entire family is forced to commit suicide as a result of the incident. The truth of that case is never properly investigated. She's then forced to marry ML as a slave wife, bought for the price of one good horse (a fact he constantly reminds her of), and framed for the murder of his son. ML promises to kill her lover and drown her in the manor's pond if she fails to prove her innocence. When the real culprit is identified he does nothing because he can't afford to offend their family. Several schemes later and after saving his life multiple times, she agrees to return to the manor to testify on his behalf, after which she is promptly imprisoned for a year. She's only let out early so that she can be used to resolve another one of ML's problems.

None of this matters and everything is forgiven because ML "cares" about the "common people". I couldn't stop laughing when in episode 11 ML says "one day I must free all of Quliang's people" to Luo Qing, you know, his slave wife?

I could bear with all of this if FL had any self-respect, but she has none. ML rapes her in episode 13, and FL finally considers killing him, but she just gives up for no apparent reason. Then she finds out she's pregnant and decides to keep the child so she can "have a family", even though she knows the child will suffer pointlessly and probably die at the hands of one of ML's countless concubines just like Hui'er did. And what a surprise, she doesn't even get to carry the child to term. When she asks to be demoted and sent away, ML is urged to keep her around because she's "useful", and he responds without a hint of irony "I lack it in me to force her".

Fuck this show lmao.

If I were to make any changes to the ending... Yi Joo should have cut ties with her dad, Yoo Ra should be in prison, Se Hyeok should also have cut ties with his family, and filed for sole custody of his kid.

On Love between Fairy and Devil Nov 6, 2023
For me, there's a fine line between a naive lead and an infantile one. I'm only halfway through the show, but it's hard for me to understand how Dongfang or Chang Heng could fall in love with Orchid when she acts like she still needs someone to change her diapers. It's a shame too because the production quality and the acting from the rest of the cast is really good.

Did you notice your review has more comments than any of the others? Even the most helpful reviews have less comments. I thought K-drama fans were aggressive but it seems C-drama fans are even more intense.

Maybe because its completely activated. That's why it easier to remove?Just like a pimple, its difficult to pop…
Does she have to tell them her whole plan? My point is, if your theory is correct, it wouldn't have been difficult for Yi Mei to include it in her conversations with Xing Zi when talking about the phurba's activation. Then Yi Mei's lines in ep 18 wouldn't contradict her actions in ep 20, right?

Then why does Yi Mei never talk about removing the phurba after it's complete? She doesn't mention it to Xing Zi, Zhie Xie, or any of the other villains?

How does it benefit her to tell him "it can't be separated"?

Yi Mei literally says in episode 18 at 15:33 "Phurba has merged with your flesh and blood. It can't be separated" 🤡

The characters have so much trouble separating HZ from the phurba, but as soon as it's convenient for the writers Yi 🤡 Mei can skip down from nowhere and pluck it out and run off?

The writers for this show are so skilled! With their power every time Yi Mei is on screen the audience can hear clown music playing faintly in the background

So when Yan takes over, does that mean Qian is now imprisoned or just away somewhere? Explain how that worked?…
Qian is imprisoned somewhere when Yan is in control, but I have no idea how it works. In the earlier episodes it seemed like they could switch at will. Then when boys beat up Qian he switches to Yan. Damaging the spirit mirror seems to have some effect, but Yan took control during the exam not when the mirror was damaged so it's still unclear right?

My understanding is that at the end of the episode during the "break-up", even though he's dressed in black, it's Qian speaking. He's protecting them by scaring them off so that Yan won't hurt them.
