Well, I finished up all 9 episodes yesterday of The Palace Lock Sinensis. Viki have it but the video is unavailable; I tried to search for subs too but couldn't find any. I just watched it raw on Youtube.
It is basically a time-traveling mini-movie. Each episode consist of an average of 20 minutes. It is about a palace maid's soul transferring from the Qing dynasty (I think) into the present. The male lead was actually her lover in their past life. Since the female lead (a ghost/soul) lost her memories, the male lead tries to help her find out her identity and the reason of her death. It is a love story through the process anyways.

I'm from New York in the U.S. From what I remember, it was 2 episodes. I've been watching dramas for a very long time. I think I started watching dramas since 1995.
You probably saw most of these:
Startling By Each Step
The Myth
Palace: The Lock Heart Jade (didn't really like the 2nd one)
Legend of Lu Zhen
Cuo Dian Yuan Yang (it was an alright drama)
Prince of Lan Ling
Schemes of a Beauty

Hi, I'm doing good. Thank you.
I used to love watch TVB dramas but now it isn't as good as the ones in the 1990s. Well, the main themes in the 90s were Wuxias so that is probably why I love those dramas.
TVB rentals were crazy back then, 2 episodes per tape. Now, there are 10 episodes per DVD and is only $1. Or we could even watch them online for free.
I could speak a bit Mandarin but not very fluently. Unfortunately, I'm only able to read the most simple Chinese characters. =/
I love watching Mainland Chinese dramas the most now although a majority of them are dubbed. I love historical dramas too; it's one of my favorite themes.
I loved it! I wish TVB makes more of these kind of dramas.

Well, maybe there are other stuff like the weird hairdos of samurais. I guess that is a major turn-off for me. To me the lighting seems of Japanese films seem to be the darkest out of the movies that I've seen.

I'm probably not that into Japanese movies because they are really, really dark (bad lighting).

I've seen your list and you've seen lots of Korean and Japanese movies. I'm not that crazy over those but I'm definitely crazy over HK movies, especially if it have a Wuxia, martial arts, or comedy theme.

Hi.
The ending of the Gem of Life wasn't that good. From what I remember, all of the sisters had happy endings while the mother was suffering from some illness. I finished the drama because I was a big fan of Gigi Lai (very pretty, even now after being married and gave birth).
TVB dramas are really disappointing for these past few years; however, Bounty Lady caught my eye this year. Bounty Lady is an extremely funny drama; once it finishes, it gets a 10/10 rating. To me, it is the only good drama this year. I wish that TVB brings back the good old days (1990s) of Wuxia. Whenever they make WuXia dramas nowadays it always have the exaggerated CGI effects.
I used to watch dramas like almost everyday but now that I'm taking MOOCs, I have less time to watch. I can watch like 2-3 episodes per week now.
