For me cold face..Showing no emotions is the one who is like a statue..He shouldn’t show his emotions through eyes too..As one can easily read eyes..Its what displays one emotions in fact along with mouth moments..

Like how HS explained it perfectly..Shifu shows no emotion..But when you take a step back and look at his actions you can read him..The horse scene..Where she knows FZ delayed helping Princess so that HS can check her hand..But we all know how FZ asked to stay HS away from Princess business..
